It is clear to me that the interview is obviously candid in questions, but the flow was clearly defined. Each member was quietly minding their own devices until their turn. Myung went up the stairs to pass the relay to Jordan. I don’t think it had much to do with getting away or the vibe of the room.

I've thought the same thing before! I saw him on the most recent G3 tour and, when speaking to the audience between songs, you would swear he was actually a little awkward, maybe even a bit uncomfortable! It was really striking I'm contrast to such a mind-blowing musical perfomance. He certainly didn't have the usual kind of attitude or whatever you expect from a guy who has spent most of his life playing bombastic music in massive venues all over the planet, which isn't a bad thing.

Eh, in the age of KZread to we really need in studio DVD’s? Don’t get me wrong, I love the in studio footage and the systematic chaos video, but it seems like the delivery method will be online for most people going forward. Or am I unaware of a huge market for behind the scenes dvd sales?

Rick Sanchez I made the mistake of assuming it would be quiet like their other interviews so I turned up my headphones before watching. Needless to say, I regretted my decision

The Dream Theater guys are so incredibly nice and welcoming even when (sort of) put on the spot. Great to see great musicians and personalities!

I got to meet Jordan Rudis in 2013 at a guitar show in Austin Texas, really nice guy took the time to talk to me even took a selfie with me, and he even took a selfie with my niece and gave her an autograph awesome musician and a class act dream theater rocks

I don't think the interviewer is "dead inside" or "not care about the band". I think he's just professional - he asks the questions that are on the sheet, it's his job. You can hear his laugh after some of the members' answers.

So many fans of this type of music are hell bent on having it their way or not. I am first a musician, so musically, it would be cool, probably, really cool. As with everything, this is my opinion. You are entitled to yours and we are supposed to be okay with our opinions being opposite to each other.

Greatest studio

Great and funny interview. Dream Theater did a great job in Distance Over Time, and it is always nice to know more about each member of the band.

Very cool. Can't wait to get my grubby little paws on the new album! Jordan, you rule dude!

Best Part: Petrucci jokes about the gym and the interviewer doesn't even laugh and just moves on to the next question and Petrucci says, "Hmmm." It was as if saying, "Hmmm....maybe this interviewer is a stuffed shirt."

Mangini’s a PRO. Just hearing him talk about his technique alone is inspiring and he’s a really nice dude. Heck, all of these dudes are super cool and they know what they’re talking about and they are a loyal band, same for the rest of the proggers out there.

Its very cool that such a talented guitar player lists Rush as his favorite band. You hear that all the time from bass players, but not that often from guitar players. Nice Job John!

Great walkthru and questions. Love to see that the masters of Prog (RUSH) got 2 shout outs from John P and John M for Rush - Hemispheres and Geddy Lee!! RUSH was the band that started it all for me and was my fave prog rock band. I started learning guitar because of Alex Lifeson. Now DT is my fave prog band. And because of Rush and DT my music collection has just exploded over the years. I listed to metal, jazs, blues, rock, prog, etc. Hey that big clock you guys have in that kitchenette is the EXACT same one we have here in our living room! haahhhaah Keep it up. cant wait for the new CD and to see you live here in So. Cal coming up soon...... long live DT and prog!!!

Instead of saying "I used to be really good at soccer", he says "I used to be really into that". Small shift but so much more humble.
