DREAM TEAM | Women's Volleyball Nations League 2024. Paola Egonu earns yet another MVP award! Dream Team honours for seven VNL 2024 standouts.
It was no surprise to anyone that Paola Egonu was honoured as the Most Valuable Player of the women’s Volleyball Nations League 2024. For the 25-year-old star opposite it was the second MVP nomination in the VNL. She also received the prestigious award in 2022, the first time her team Italy claimed the title. It was one of numerous MVP awards Egonu has earned at various prestigious national team and club competitions throughout her career.
Egonu also led a line-up of seven prominent players who were honoured on the symbolic VNL Dream Team during the Awarding Ceremony at the end of the Finals in Bangkok on Sunday evening.

Best Setter: Alessia Orro (Italy)
Best Opposite: Paola Egonu (Italy)
Best Outside Hitters: Sarina Koga (Japan) and Myriam Sylla (Italy)
Best Middle Blockers: Agnieszka Korneluk (Poland) and Sarah Fahr (Italy)
Best Libero: Manami Kojima (Japan)

they're all crazy good but my favorite is koga. she's so skilled and powerful but she does everything with so much calmness and grace, it's so cool.

Japan's way of playing is so different from the rest of the teams, it is not only power, it is a game of subtleties and intelligence that is very pleasant to watch, Koga is spectacular and something similar happens in the men's team where for example Ran Takahashi has such aesthetic movements, there is a lot of fantasy in the Japanese teams

Congratulescion davvero. Tra l'altro a me Kakolewska (per me rimane quel nome) è sempre piaciuta, ma chi mi ha davvero impressionato in questo torneo (lascia stare le nostre) è Koga. Stupenda, potente e precisa👍🏼

@@fabioarcuti Quindi Vasileva non la chiamerai mai Atanasijevic 😅 Koga a me aveva impressionato già due anni fa quando la vidi giocare in una partita contro gli USA e da allora la guardo sempre con piacere. E' fortissima, tranquilla e fredda quando serve e si vede chiaramente che per la squadra è una leader e un faro acceso.

I am amazed by the improvements of Sylla. I remember during Tokyo 2020, she was the target of almost everyone during service. She's a good passer now.

agree setts are way more beautiful
is it just me but italy was doing so good today. really on rhythm and on connection even the new players jiving with the core team. They look so light unlike before that they were playing just for representation.
Carol had 50 stuff blocks compared to Korneluk's 36. So, for me and statistics-wise, Carol should be included there together with Gabi.

if im not mistaken these awards are only for the top 3 teams so in this case Italy, Japan and Poland. I do agree that Carol is an extremely good middle blocker though

Actually 3 of the 4 teams you mentioned were disintegrated by the players of this dream team. The 4 team does not exist at an international level for the moment. The matches should be watched and you shouldn't just dream about them.
