Hello everyone ^^, 2021 has been a really good year for the channel, I thought of making a mix with a few of my favourite tracks ever, combined with great scenery, and this came off. I thought that this track selection could fit very nicely with the aesthetic of VHS New York City footages.
Thank you so much for support this channel has received during this year, it's been an amazing one for sure, and I'm very thankful for that ^^.

I have been listening to electronic music for ~20 years. Techno, house, drum and bass, breakbeat, ambient, downtempo, psychedelic music, you name it. I was "there" when lo-fi house blew up in the 2010s. I don't know how to phrase it, but it's like lo-fi house in particular is both addictive and has a pinch of nostalgia-driven depression added. Especially when the backdrop is 90s videos from NYC. Reminiscing about a past I have never had or never appreciated in full. I hope I didn't offend anyone with my comment - just genuinely my perception about this mix (and I'm on my tenth listen at this point). (I'm perfectly aware that this is "just music" in the end.)

Good comment. I'm in the same category, been into electronic music since about about 2000 (maybe before as I was always drawn to the more housey and electronic tracks of acts like New Order, Bjork, etc. in the early 90s). There is a certain melancholy feel to this lo-fi house mix, and it's lovely. I feel you on that.

Yo that's the best description I've ever seen, that tinge of nostalgia and depressive sentiment is in full force with DJ Aedidias "Done Whit You" where I had never met that girl but felt like I had dated her in the 90s. All while stone cold sober wtf

me too i had the same path like you . i think lo fi was bit earlier like 2000's , but it has been as a genre since the 2010's . Amazing finding for me

I guess? its good I just caught 1 of the 2 people at work trying to poison my prepackaged breakfast haha , although it does suck that I had to go buy another 1 though, but it's better than being the sucker that got poisoned/drugged at breakfast (BY NON DRS BTW HAHA )with unknown chemicals I guess?... haha.

Well said, I think that is one of the beautiful qualities of lo-fi house music and dream files mixes
After months of listening to many different house playlists, I thought I heard it all, but this playlist just blew my mind. Wonderful nostalgic vibes.. For me, it's a period of mid to late 90's when internet, computers, and video games were new and exciting concepts, not overwhelming like today. Some of the warm and fond memories this playlist evokes: Wide shirts, Windows 98, spiked hair, movies about hackers and corporations, dial up interner, tamagochi, game boy, The Friends and The Simpsons. In short, some simpler times, at least for me. Thank you for this wonderful upload!!!

Yep, I’m an old House head from back in the day. A lot of Lo-Fi feels like late 90’s/early 2000’s Deep House with a filter package.

Really admire your video format. Every song is clearly labeled in the video and description. I cannot count the times I have to scramble for my phone to shazam something and it being something so obscure that it doesn't pick it up. Keep it up!

Lofi-House is my favorite genre!
I find this a nice mix between vaporwave and deep house; I fell in love with the first a few years back but find myself mostly enjoying the later now.
working late on a architectural house design, you became most productive and fly trought the entire galaxy at the same time, great motivation.
