That hunt is a dream come true! So many bulls bugling, and you get to use a rifle! Victory drink of my choice is definitely Mtn Ops Ignite, especially when there is going to be a pack out like that and I need the extra boost!

Favorite part is where you talk about how hard goes into the hunt after your elk down. I don’t think a lot of new hunters or first time elk hunters know how hard it can be.

They are places the general public can see it without all the extra needed effort to hunt, just weekend trip. I’m lucky born with a mtn front. I turned 40 this past January and been bow hunting elk for 14 years. There is nothing better than being stuck in the middle of 100+ elk and the bulls bugling and slamming antlers together. Man I can just watch them and not even worry about trying to send an arrow through the vitals. I love to hunt and elk are my favorite chase. Only started bow hunting because that’s when they’re turned up prime and screaming all day. Only in September, always watched from afar til I got the bow now my elk addiction is taken hold of me and Im hiding 10 yards away. Cows farting in 10ft bubble and calves licking my boots. Closest kill was 6 yards because I picked a good spot on an escape route. It is scary I still get scared when they’re that close.
