Currently getting my bachelors in social work and then plan to get my masters in school counseling. I've worked in schools for years in attendance and it is HARD WORK. People always tell me "At least you get summers off" and I reply "I take the summer to heal my wounds from the school year!" LOL! Good luck to you and your many endeavors, love the channel.

I’m a reading specialist and was a classroom teacher prior to this, and I feel this was after 22 years of ups and downs. The politics have me searching for other opportunities.

@@MindfullyMayadefinitely the politics and with my own 1st grader now, I want to be able to give him my very best self, not an overly stressed out version of me.

I can only imagine being in the public school system. These children need spiritual healing which the public school systems fails to provide. Spiritual healing is the root of the solutions to many of the issues concerning children.

I'm a little nervous because I know I'm going to be new to certain things. I just want to learn what school social workers and counselors exprience in the field.

I’m a teacher. I have found my forever school but there’s always things that make you think twice lol.

Have you thought about working abroad? The school systems in other countries probably pay more and are more rewarding.

Big medicine needs more black social workers. More and more critically ill black folks are needing specialized social services and oftentimes have to deal with standoffish Becky's who typically occupy these positions in most medical organizations.
