No other guitarist/musician has stirred so many emotions as BH has in me. When I heard Glacier I could not breathe properly, I was writhing, holding my breath, huffin' & puffin etc. I thought that this is how good a guitar song can be, the peak of peaks had been reached. Then I heard Celery, man alive, it is otherworldly to me.

Hard to believe he's over 50 now. I still think of him as that 20-something year old that I first learned about on the MTV Music Awards that night. I still remember exactly what i thought: "who is this fool? Some sort of caricature of Slash? Is this Slash's alter ego? Wtf?!?" 🤣 And then I ignored him until just this year. Now? I'm an official Bucket-head lol. Next to Duane Allman, B is my 2nd favorite guitarist ever. That tells you just how wide my musical inspirations go. Of all of his albums I've listened to, his special albums speak to me the most. And his slower stuff beyond that. I'm still going through a very difficult time. July 1, 2014 was the day I lost my daughter and only child because her mother decided that texting was more important than actually paying attention to the road while she was driving. Going on 7 years and I'm still just as messed up about it as I was on that first day I woke up without my child. 🥺 and July 1 is coming up quick again. Soon after, Sept 11, is her birthday. Mine is only 9 days after that. So I always felt a connection to her because of it. A connection broken by irresponsibility and stupidity. I'm still very angry over the whole thing. Not nearly as angry as I was for the first 5 years, though. I walked around with a permanent scowl, eyebrows scrunched up. So so angry. My ex also did what she could to keep my daughter away from me so I rarely ever even got to see her. Something I expected to be able to catch up on later. And then that was taken from me, too. I'm bitter. Very, very bitter. And I miss my daughter 🥺😥

I have played guitar since I was about 13 or so, but it was only last year that I discovered the masterful skill of Buckethead, thanks to the internet and especially Natternets sublime dedication to the man himself. Buckethead has inspired me to play so much more. I cannot wait to see what he will come up with next. The Bucketheadland rides are the best. Happy Birthday Buckethead.

Honestly, Buckethead's work with Shin Terai and Bill Laswell goes WAY under the radar. Some of the coolest and unique music I have heard are from Heaven and Hell and Unison.

Me too! LOL. In any event, I know I'm going to like it no matter what. I even like all the skrunk he plays.--there are a couple difficult to fall asleep too, but this song is perfect for that.
