Dream Build I NEW Giant Propel Advanced SL I 2022 - 2023 I NEW Cadex Aero Wheelset

After several years of development, Giant officially unveiled the new Propel Aero road bike on August 18. Who has paid close attention could see the Aero Racebike already at the Tour de France and other races in use, Dylan Groenewegen already won with it the third stage and his teammate Micheal Matthews the dramatic 14th stage of the Tour de France. The facts that Giant delivers to the new Propel Advanced SL are very impressive. The framestiffness was increased by 9.2%, yet the frame now weighs only 931g including seat dome about 300g lighter than its predecessor. When it comes to improving aerodynamics, not only the frame has been worked on, the new Contact SLR Aero handlebar and stem as well as the new Cadex Aero wheels with 50mm rim height alltogether bring an improvement of 6.21 watts. This corresponds to a time saving of 27 seconds on 40 kilometers at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour.
We were at Giant Headhunter in Germany a few weeks before the presentation when one of the new Giant Propel Advanced SL bikes was built. Please have a look at the Dream Build video, so you can see all the details of the frame and the installed components.

it's our weight weenies service for those who are interested in knowing what a certain part weighs. The most obvious here are naturally the frame, fork, wheels but also stem, headset and seat clamp as well.

Nice looking bike but poor quality control or poor transport.Rear wheel has major issues right out of the box. kzread.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Rear axle is bent! Derailleur is misaligned.Since the rear wheel comes assembled I would have expected better.Assembly instructions poorly written, but that was not unexpected...just annoying.I just had the bike checked at a shop and was told that I should contact the seller about getting a whole rear wheel assembly with cartridge. (The bike shop could not do anything to help me).Not a good experience with this bike, so lesson learned.Added 3 stars for excellent customer serviceUpdate Sept 8 2020Just received a complete replacement wheel for free. Great service and an otherwise fine bike.
