Never seen that ring on engagement finger before 👀

All the stand up coasters I've been on have all been about the same just overall so uncomfortable and rough I wish more of them would convert to floorless coasters like Mantis into Rougarou at Cedar Point. My local amusement park has a Thomas land just like the one at Drayton but the entire park is geared for little kids. I really loved this UK theme park tour and can't wait to see what comes next !

They recently replaced parts of shockwave track however you're quite right they are rougher than more modern coasters. Secret is to slightly bend your knees before they lock the seats I'd say

The UK series is sooo rewatchable! Love it 😃!

My jaw dropped when you went down the water ride backwards. I wasn't expecting so much water to come into the boat. Perfect ride for Orlando summers though.

Shockwave is actually a creation from Intamin worldwide, aka the people behind Hagrid’s and VelociCoaster, Cheetah Hunt, and many other rides and coasters. It was one their earliest projects, all the way from 1994. As the last Intamin stand-up coaster, it’s a very rare coaster experience. Glad you got to ride!

Oh my gosh guys! This made me laugh so very hard when you were on those coasters recording the experience! I absolutely loved this showing the real feel of the rides! So cool! 😆 He also made me laugh so hard when you had that stunned look on your face so cute and Sam kept asking, are you alright? Lol 😂

Oh my goodness. I completely forgot about this park. I guess I would make that six parks I'd want to visit if I was in the UK. But again, I doubt I'll ever get there.

So cool the stand up coaster. We have that at my home park, Six Flags Over Georgia and I love it. That water ride, Oh MY BACKWARD, oh no!!!! Thank you for taking us along, so much fun!

I'm from Perth Australia, when we get back to the UK we usually head to Alton Towers. We haven't been to Drayton Manor for many years...probably, thinking about it...18 years...wow. Alton Towers is our UK go to park because of thirteen. My absolute number1 favorite coaster. Thanks for sharing Drayton Manor with us, it was good to reminisce.

Hi Jackie, so glad that you & Sam and your friends had a great time at Drayton Manor. Its actually my favourite UK themepark. Always loved it as apart from the rides theres a zoo part there & I just love the layout of the park. I have to admit that I've only ever stood underneath Shockwave & watched all of the brave people on it! And OMG I cannot believe that backwards drop on Stormforce!!! That's crazy insane! :) And I absolutely love all the Thomas stuff ( maybe a little too much for my age but why not eh? :) makes me smile- so cute! ) x

I have ridden a stand-up coaster at Carowinds in Charlotte, NC. Pretty cool, but not as cool as the Velocicoaster at IOA!! 🤗

Stormforce 10 is a gem of a ride, wet but great fun!

I love that you had a chance to see two new things this trip. This looks like a cute theme park and a good Family oriented theme park. Two of my nephews used to love Thomas and I must admit it was a cute little series.. I must admit you are good sports for going on that water ride. I love how you are drier then Sam. Maybe he will rethink this next time.. My dream theme park is Eftling in Holland the Netherlands. I have always had a dream to go to Holland..

Going to Drayton Manor over the summer as a reward for my Thomas obsessed 5 year old son. He loved watching this video! And thank you for your great commentary when watching the Thomas train. He loved that you waved. Some adults could have been a bit sarcastic or made comments but you were amazing and now he is even more excited ❤️❤️❤️

Yes. Stand up roller coaster call the King Cobra, Kings Mills, Oh near Cincinnati, Ohio, back in the 80’s. It closed years ago. But it was awesome!

I watched that water ride part 3x. Hysterically laughing each time, especially when Sam’s head gets soaked! Hahaha

That stand up roller coaster is very much like one we had at Kings Dominion in Virginia. It was also called the shockwave! I totally agree it was a super weird feeling coaster. Unfortunately they removed it a few years back from the park.

My first standing coaster was the King Cobra that used to be at King's Island in Cincy. That look on your face when you got the big splash from the backwards drop was priceless.

No way i like that Drayton manor first Time stand up coaster wild water ride trains & Thomas the tank engine land that is amazing super enthused...

When you came back into the station after riding the stand-up coaster, with your hair all wind blown, the look on your face-Priceless! 🤣 Also at the end of the water ride, you looked like a water-logged cat! Looks like a fun ride, but you were smart to keep your hoodie on your poncho cinched up tight! 😉 Another Amazing Adventure in a fun UK park! Thanks for bringing us along, Jackie! ☺️

Drayton Manor is definitely for families. I really liked this place too. I was not sure what to think about the water ride once it got to the top. Sure wasn't what I expected, & surprised how exciting it turned out turning the track, going backwards, with a plunge, longer ride. Oh it was neat! That was awesome! Thomas Land is cute. Our favorite amusement park, Kennywood, put in a Thomas the Train also over in Kiddie land. You & Sam had a nice cool day to enjoy. Lunch menu looked really reasonably priced. Sam's Burger looked really good. This was a wonderful video. I loved seeing the standup coaster. Went fast. The force see ed to pin you to the back of your seat. I got afraid for you that it may have knocked the wind out of you for a second. That was strong & I wasn't sure who made that heavish type sound just as it was about to descend. Enjoyed your video. Hope you are well, & safely home now. I will miss Sam.

That backwards drop on the 💦 ride was unexpected. The best part of that ride was Sam’s reactions. 😂 I rode a stand up coaster years ago in Kings Dominion in Virginia also called the Shockwave. Very weird feeling! It closed in 2015.

Nice Vlog! Drayton Manor was my local park growing up. Stormforce really is a soaker!.... I was there on opening day, in the station before the track tilts for the first drop there used to be a screen that came down behind the boat so the guests in the queue couldn't see the tilt/drop (That's why there is a fisherman figure holding a lever on the left hand side, he would 'pull the lever' and the screen would drop down behind the boat). Keep up the good work!

Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain, California is a stand up ride that I've gone on. Being a guy, gotta be careful playing around on the platform waiting for the cast members to lock the seat into place. There's been a couple times where the bike seat got locked in a little too high. Glad you had a great trip to the UK! On my bucket list for sure!!

@@WiseYoungBabyGrogu basically it was falling apart, the boats were leaking and the ride needed a full overhaul. Shame as it was my favourite ride. The Thomas Land soft play eats into some of the old ride building 👍🏻

Kings Island amusement park (just north or Cincinnati Ohio) had a stand-up coaster called King Cobra from 1984 to 2001. It was, by far, my favorite kind of roller coaster.

We had a stand up coaster like that here in Houston Six Flags Astroworld once. It was themed after the Batman movie. It was one of my favorite rides.

I love how Sam asks if you are ok on the water ride when he is absolutely soaked!!

I’ve been on riddler and I love standing coasters. I feel like it’s a lot smoother than regular coasters. To be honest I would recommend a standing coaster for people getting into coasters for the first time. At least in my experience.

I do still have some Thomas the Tanks trains as of today. They were some of the toys I've had during my youth.

@@SuperEnthused definitely agree with you on that’s for sure jackie I do remember watching Thomas the tank on pbs sprout but they don’t have the show anymore on sprout which I don’t know why that pbs sprout changed it to universal kids.

Love Drayton Manor for a quieter day out . Plus it’s only a ten minute drive from my house . The haunting is good . But the queue wait even if you are near the front is ridiculous.

I've been loving your adventures abroad. Shockwave made me remember a coater by the same name that used to be at six flags great adventure wayyyy back in the day. It was also a stand up coaster. I wonder if they are cousin coasters.

I've done one stand up coaster and that was the Georgia Scorcher at Six Flags over GA......it was different.....but not different enough .....the Batman (suspended coaster) at Six Flags still remains my favorite

The Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California is a stand up coaster like Shockwave. It was by far one of the coolest rollercoasters I have ever been on.
