    This is SOOO much easier to understand than the way it was taught to me. Actually, I wasn't really taught how to do this, just shown the way it was supposed to look and told to memorize it, so when I had to reproduce it, I was lost. Thanks a lot!

    The nodes are not actually lines, but planes. The z-axis is encompassed within the stated planes and doesn't need to be stated explicitly. Your course instructor may ask you to designate the planes. Confer with her/him about that issue.
