The thing about Charlie is that she's probably the only hellborn with a soul due to her being half human and the evidence of her saying the line "You want my soul?" when Alastor first starts discussing the deal with her. If Charlie took the time and put in effort of learning how to fight so something like losing Sir Pentious doesn't happen again to another resident, then she's gonna get all the respect she needs and more.

I mean, it's kind of clear that Lucifer and Charlie aren't that respected (idk about Lilith). Alastor had the nerve to say "fck you" and deliberately insult Lucifer to his face and no one seemed terrified or even the slightest sign of fear/dread/terror upon learning he was coming to the hotel. He's definitely more respected than Charlie, though. Satan on the other hand, is shown to be quite feared in HB and instead of saying "omg", the characters say "oh my Satan" even though Lucifer is their king and the closest thing to a "God" they have.

I love this! Your style is so cute! Also, from what Vivziepop has said, Charlie’s nose and hooves (YES! CHARLIE DOES IN FACT HAVE HOOVES, GUYS!) are meant to be a reference to satyrs due to them having ties to demons and that she never meant for Charlie to be a full on goat! I heard from someone the show was like a really long movie type of thing and then it was split into episodes. I don’t mean it was originally a movie, as in they made a long animation and cut parts out to make the episodes we have now. Though If they were wrong that’s a really cool detail

@@Sage23802 All of Hazbin Hotel started as part of a comic called Zoophobia. Viv was working on it when she was still in school. She eventually decided to make it its own thing. Every character in the hotel and Mimzy had already been a character with a backstory. The only new additions are the angels and the Vee's. After that it was supposed to be a web series like Helluva Boss turned out to be but the Pilot got so popular Prime asked to release it on their platform. Covid-19 caused this to be delayed. It doesn't seem like there was ever a plan to make it into a movie or series of movie length episodes. Perhaps there could have been plans before she decided on a webcomic but it's beyond even that now.

@@RoxasOnSummerVacation I didnt mean movie length episodes but like the normal episodes we have now for season 1 we’re like all the same giant episode and to make the episodes they took a chunk of the giant episode and turned it into a sort of mini episode or smaller part of the story and they repeated the process until there was nothing left of the animation to use. But maybe the person confused a storyboard with this idea

There's his dad Henroin, his unknown mother that people speculate is in Heaven, his older brother Arackniss (who appeared during the 666 news broadcast in ep 8) and his twin sister Molly who is in Heaven (she appears during the song Welcome To Heaven)

The reason why most sinners don’t respect her is because she is way too nice. Like it’s not a bad thing to be so kind and sweet, but that’s also like one of Charlie’s problems. She is way too nice that mostly everyone in hell see her as a weak pushover and they don’t treat with respect even if she is the princess of hell. But that’s why I love that she finally stopped her niceness and decided to fight back against Adam in the season 1 finale. Now I just hope she can try to be more tougher if she truly wants everyone to respect her in the next season. It’s good to be nice, but it’s also good to stand up for yourself.

Charlie reminds me a lot of Steven from Steven Universe because these both characters have been sheltered, and really don’t wanna fight anyone and they both have a parent that’s a very powerful being. It’s only because she’s so nice and a total push over who they all know they can just walk all over. Like if she commanded fear or inspired rebellion like her parents she’d be feared and respected but since she does neither they don’t take her seriously. Like she could easily kill all of the V’s with her level of power but instead she just shrinks at any confrontation.

I love the idea of her working for the respect of others insead of just getting it because shes the princess

this one was an AMAZING drawing of charlie. i will say though-even though it’s cool that people give her the opportunity to prove her self worth rather than bow to her title, it seems more like the show forgets her title entirely sometimes. those moments where people don’t care about her title sometimes feel more like “i don’t care who you are” instead of “i don’t care if you’re the princess” if that makes sense. idk, just a small detail i think would contribute to hell’s attitude of the royal family specifically
