You guys take all the anxiety out of art, thanks for your fun and chill demeanor. Y'all make art achievable.
Hi from New Zealand. I've just been drawing along with you. With Graphite. 1st time Ive done a drawing in 45 mins. I'm mainly self taught. So I'm pleased with my result. You guys are cool. Thanks for the many laughs . You have a new subscriber. Your portrait is an awesome outcome Ashley love it!! ❤❤❤ I'm off down to the art shop tomorrow to get black paper and white charcoal. I have a horse. I've been studying her anatomy in detail the past few months and it's really helping my work.
Waiting for my husband to get out of surgery. Thanks I actually giggled out loud a couple times watch this. Such great work Ashley!!! Love this
highly entertaining, guys. and I'm learning .I grew up watching all those shows, and it's the only reason I draw horses half-way decently. I still am watching the recently re-mastered w/ widened screen, 'GUNSMOKE'S in color ( from '67 on, it's color)on INSP. but what I have to mention is, if you hear Western actors being candid, they'll tell you ,nothing fouls up a scene like an un-cooperative horse. watching closely, you can see them getting impatient w/ talking scenes, ready to move out of camera, run away, or whatever. but really, when I'd draw an imagined Western scene, or a horseman, I realized later, I was remembering saloon furniture, chairs usually, enough to draw them out of my head. my memory was so saturated w/ those images from TV, and I didn't even realize it. now, I aspire to be as good as you 2. thanx!!
I loved this, I like to wait and see the complete drawing before I even think about commenting. Love this drawing. Thanking you.
Glad you haven't got Covid Matt x Also hope the weather settles, tornadoes are scary !!! We do get them but not as bad as the US. Take care xxx
Love this! I have the perfect reference photo to try with this technique.
Enjoy watching you and Ashly. Fun, educational in a relaxed casual manner.
Absolutely fabulous ... Thank you
Great drawing!!!! this was my first drawing of a horse I will be back🙏
man, he didn't even have enough information in the photo, to the point where he made his own eye on our right. brilliant! my monitor doesn't show it clearly, but it's a solid SAMSUNG for it's time. and w/ the left nostril, he could've skipped it, or blacked it out, making them appear closer together. photos are proven here, to be a bit sterile sometimes. but it took an artist w/ a great white pencil to illustrate it.
Loved this lesson! I'm trying it today. Love you guys..very informative and great humor! The Bonanza sons were Adam, Hoss and Little Joe.
Yes please, draw more horses.... 😀
I love 💕 you guys! You make my week and you always make me laugh 😂
Amazing horse painting. I loved the shadows and the lights in your videas2
Just a fabulous drawing I need to use white charcoal more just afraid of smudges I would love to be a student of both of you because there's never a week goes by you dont learn something.
Once again, Bravo! And thank you. I learned a lot.
Hey Matt this is great I love horses and I really like white on black, I did a darth vader because I wanted to have a go and it came out way better than I thought. I didn't use white charcoal I used white pencils and couple of greys x

thanks for named them
Mark on the face is a snip. Blaze goes all they way down head.
Thank you both so very much. It is magical. I came put of the womb loving horses and after college had horses for 35 years. I know their bones, muscles, hair pattern, how the bones, ligaments and tendons are and how they work. Can't draw a good horse for love nor money. Always mess up the hind quarter angles. It's infuriating. This I may try. Putting in the values instead of drawing with my brain. David Bowie referenced Rembrandt in his song golden years. " light in the shadows "

I love horses too only they don't like me, I'm allergic to them, I used to ride ponies when I was young, but the allergy got worse and one day was out with my friend and I woke up like I'd been in the boxing ring and lost. My eyes were so swollen I could hardly see. I still love them.
Very good
Great tutorial. Thank you
Excellent !
Your drawing is actually looking better than the photo of drawing
I used to draw horses in mathematics class.
This is great :-)
Very nice drawing
My dad taught me to draw a horse when I was a kid he told me big circle for head and little circle for mouth. Then conect the lines from the head big circle to the smal circle totally diffrent to this horse
👍👏👏👏❤️🙏
he already looks ready to kick open a gate @00:17:53.
I'm having a problem with white charcoal...It's just not white enough. Especially over black vine charcoal.
Do you have reference photo??
Us simple people call that "blaze" just a white spot.. LOL
HORSOME!
Ухо правое выше левого , уж простите у вас перекос не туда! Работа произвольная и при хорошей прорисовке много ошибок! Ноздря лошади имеет ярко выраженный перекос в лево, череп лошади раздут у орегенала он уже!
sorry guys too much talking
