Wow! that eye and surounding was amazing. Where do you get your reference photos from, Pixaby? Do you draw everything freehand? or do you draw on tracing paper first, then add it to the pastelmat? Do you, or can you leave the background negativ as the pastelmat also has a colour on it? Can you do a light watercolour or something as a background? Thanks so much Bonnie, I greatly appreciate all you say and do - I think it fantastic that you are so willing to help your followers. Can immagine how time consuming that is, especially as you are also on FB and Instagram, which I am unfortunatly not. Blessings be 🙏💕
Lovely! I tried this technique a few years ago, I couldn’t see where I had put the indentations and ended up with a Scribbly mess 😂😂

What colors were used, the main work looks like a black polychromos but occasionally it looks like you also add in a darkish brown, but what have you used on the eye.
