Found you after reading The Flash New 52 comics, and loving the art. Criminally low subscribers and support for how awesome you are! You literally got me into art, and then into the comic book style.

Once again, I have yet to see a piece of yours that doesn't leave my jaw on the ground. So damn good and for such a great cause. You and Jim are the best.

I might have cried watching this. Your flash was my very first contact with comics and superheroes, and was actually the one to inspire me to work towards comics now in college as well. And a while ago my favorite comicbook store closed, so the fact that I am looking at another Flash piece from you to keep other retails alive kinda hit home hard. Really hope that this incredible thing you all are doing goes a long way to help them!

Thanks, Dino. I feel your pain man, I think only one shop I used to go to as a kid is still open. I hope this helps keep the doors open for some stores.

I think it's great that I'm watching a sped up version of my favorite artist drawing Flash! I live your techniques. Your work comes alive in front of us.

As a comic book fan i support this effort. Probably my country will never see an actual comic book store. Probably there will be no chance the country will get DC comics on weekly basis. Still I wish the person who buys single issues, may not get stopped by closing of any shop. Comic culture should live forever.

If the industry gets an oppurtunity to expand and be profitable, we could someday have comic books or comic book stores internationally. I am from India and very briefly in the early 200s there was an attempt to bring comics into our culture but it did not succeed. However, tinkle and ACK (local comic brands) prove that the market can thrive if the content is good and now with the 'nerd' culture renaissance, I hope to be a good character in the future of the industry so we can get comics to anyplace as a culture and habit/hobby not just commodity which online books and shipping already fulfills as I have many comics sent to me...

Thanks! Yeah the music was dope and did my best to edit to the beats. Often I find the music before I edit and use that as my guideline for the videos feel.

Almost speechless. I´m not sure if this is motivating or devastating. Let´s see if i will pick up a pencil within the next 30 minutes lol. This is awesome work and i feel like it is even more striking since it seems to have the right amount of detail and work in it. And even with a relatively simple subject it carries a lot emotional weight. At least when you´re familiar with the character. Can´t wait to see what the final bid on this piece is going to be! Great cause too. Ok, haven´t been THAT speechless but i do look like i´m speechless right now haha

@@FrancisManapulArt actually no. But i just had something come up and then my son wanted some attention since itßs the weekend which was fair enough. BUT i just finished a page in my sketchbook which is dedicated to female figures since i´m not satisfied with those right now. So i guess that´s fine. Trying to have more time for my kids on the weekend.

Hey Francis! I wanted to tell you I am a big fan of the work you did on The Flash The New 52! I am very interested in how exactly you made pages for those comics because I can see you used watercolor, but I can't really understand how you did everything precisely. Can you maybe make a tutorial about the whole proces (for example for just 1 panel) from sketching to final product? Thanks in advance and stay safe!

That was simply amazing to watch. I have to ask... Early on when you were first putting on the skin tones, it almost looked like you were mixing in an emulsion... Or was that just water & gouche?

Beautiful texture and ingenuis method for the speed lines and the sprayed effect to indicate the motion! One quick question, was the final high saturation image the real deal or did you bump up the stauration in post production and the colors resemble those seen throughout the video?

Thanks! The real saturation falls somewhere in between but is a touch closer to the photo in the end.

They grays are usually just watered down black gouache. Hope that helps
