To make your lives a bit easier, just use Mode-5-4 to get the x-intercepts

when guessing for the 1st x-int, cant we use the factors on the last number ? great lesson btw i got exactly what i needed!!!

Helo uncle Kev, for this question I made f(x)=0 and didn’t sub in the X values.So 0=(x+3)(x-1)(x-1) and then simplified into the actual formula, is that alright or do I have to use your way with the a and triple brackets? When they give x intercepts I mean-I’ll have to use your way if they don’t

Sometimes :) Other times it wont work out as the answers will be decimals etc...

i found a simpler way to factorise by using a calculator
