Draping balloon skirt

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Elena shows the steps of draping a balloon skirt. She uses two pieces of fabric, starting from one which is:
40cm length on grain-line and 100cm wide on cross-grain.
The second piece is
60cm length on grain-line and 150cm on cross-grain.
The second piece is draped for one side, thus for full skirt you will need two pieces with the same measurements connected together.
Balloon/bubble skirt session from Intensive Advanced Draping workshop delivered by Elena and recorded In Hanoi, Vietnam with Vietnamese translator for students of FACE fashion workshop, December 2017.
EWST fashionlab offers a range of online Draping courses courses, including Complete 3-level Couture Draping course (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced) The program has been developed by Elena Ryleeva and she is mentoring the students enrolled into her courses.

I use cotton muslin to drape skirt prototype. however you have to carefully select fabric when you do the actual garment. It must have similar properties.
