A great talent. Wee Gee stated he needed room to grow but leaving the Dramatics might not have been the wisest thing to do. Youth is always riddled with mistakes and hindsight is always 20/20.

Just my opinion - but Wee Gee left the Dramatics too soon! It's very hard for lead vocalists to leave a group to pursue a solo career and do it successfully. The only person to do this successfully was none other than Michael Jackson.. but MJ was a complete package in his day... One more thing fam - these guys died very young -Wee Gee -Ron B & Elbert died from heart problems -which is still the #1 killer 2day. Lenny died from cancer - which is #2 2day. Lets all do what we can for our health - so we can be here a little longer for the ones we care about.. PEACE!

I would say that TP left the Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes and had a pretty successful career. It's all about the writers and producers. Had Wee Gee been produced by Gamble & Huff, I am sure he would have had more success.

Elbert died in his early 40's -Wee Gee in his 50's -Ron 50's - Lenny 50's. If u think middle age as u put it "not very young". I say young people 2day are dying younger than these guys and they are not middle age. My point is this - all of us will get older one day. It all depends on how u get old.. My grand parents made it to their 90's in fairly good health. They died in their sleep . They left a rich legacy for the rest of us too live by...

Not just Mike.....Jeffrey Osborn, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Sam Cooke, Cutis Mayfield, Teddy P, Jimi Hendrix, Anita Baker, Patti Labelle and many others became stars after leaving groups....If you have the talent (he did) it's all about who you put around you. Writers, Musicians, Producers, Promotion and Money....If he didn't have that at a high level, he should have stayed, he and Philippe Wynn come to mind...

Dramatic Behind The Mic Dramatic Behind The Mic • 7 hours ago 1 subscribers Hi Nat, Julie, WeeGee’s wife here. Happy Halloween 🎃. I remember WeeGee telling me about “garbage can night”, never heard of it being from New York. WeeGee was a proud, home-grown, Detroit tough, man. Now classified as a “legendary artist, WeeGee ALWAYS remains a Dramatic who loves his brothers, some, now to eternity. WeeGee’s love of music was as legendary as his God’s given gift of voice and passion for all he loved. I am sure his spirit is uplifted by the love, support and prayers for his family from his “Fab Fans”. Twenty one years after his passing we are blessed with the strength and favor to be willing and able to share our story. Thank you for your continued friendship and support. The group was still going strong for decades. He would have been more prosper if he would have stayed.
