Smilla was done dirty as a champ by ONE. Stamp or Haggerty wouldn't have a match thrown at them with a 4 weeks notice to make weight. Especially as a female it can be hard to go down fast, depending on your periods.

4 weeks doesnt usually sound extreme for most fighters training in Thailand, you might even get asked to fight 3 weeks after a previous bout. And Smilla has been training in Thailand for years in Fairtex, so she is surrounded by people who are used to the 3-4 week fighting schedule. She missed weight either because of periods or because she is still growing, or both

We need a new division, I would love to see Smilla at her full potential, 4-5 kg more would be easy for her without any downsides, only muscle mass. she is so tall and muscular. too bad she has to cut so much due to straw being the highest weightclass in one

Missing weight by 1.5 pounds is not alot, she's not that muscular. She's tall and lean. She has made weight before so don't see how she can't make weight again.

It seems that Smilla has grown since arriving at the One Championship. Obviously, she gained a little weight too and especially muscle. She is already very slim. I live in france and few people know Smilla Sundell and the One Championship. This sport isn't very knew. You have a great champion. Viva Smilla and viva Sweden !

Smilla is a beast. But she did not like that first round.

She left her country to live, learn the language and train in another country in such a young age. Not to mention how hard fairtex gym trains everyday, Sundel has a bright future.

Not really, this is the next fight to prove she's quite vulnerable in terms of speed and technique. She's tall and powerful but she could see hard time without her reach and power advantage. If they create a bigger weight class she might lose her main advantages against bigger girls.
