The LEA were the equivalent to ofsted in the show snd they did shut it down in rochdale that’s why they moved to Scotland

@@Phoebe1104 it was part of why he went mental because he didn’t like his daughter dating Marley Kelly and tried to pay him money to stay away his daughter. He also made sure all the Kelly’s were put in temporary foster care. He blamed Rachel for allowing the Kelly’s to remain in school.

Rachael Mason was such a great head mistress. Must’ve taken balls to stand up to that parent! ‘They’ve taken my daughter away from me’ ‘You lost her yourself Ralph’ Surprised he didn’t hit her!

Simon makinde yes Rachel excellent headmistress. I liked Ralph he was always undermined in what he wanted do he just wanted the best for his daughter and for the school he was so hurt inside losing everything he had worked for and cared. By knocking the school front was he only way he could pay the hurt .that was bestowed upon him. OK he should have reasoned with Rachel halfway on both sides about the future of the school.

Don’t understand why this show had bad ratings - it tackled so many important topics:- Transgenderism - Casey confused as to whether she should be a boy / girl Sexuality - Josh kissing Finn & struggling with his sexuality Homosexuality - one of the students think it was Nate I’m not sure of his name coming out Alcoholism - Connor’s mum Christine Inappropriate Relationships between teacher & student - Jonah & his Spanish teacher Miss Montoya Bullying - Michaela amongst others picking on Lindsay’s younger sister Serious illness & how it affects different people - Sambucca’s brain tumour Unexpected Pregnancies - Jess & Vicky both sleeping with Aiden Miscarriages & how they affect people - Vicky’s miscarriage Rape Accusation - Amy accusing Bolton Just to name a few... it was so good! Upset they didn’t renew it for a 12th Series.... 😭😭😭

I would LOVE to see Waterloo Road return, but I really don't know whether it'd work. A.) It could be like a lot of BBC revives/ remakes that don't work out well at all, and end up being the worst thing you can associate with the original show, or it might get lucky and turn out as an amazing new step in the show's history (like certain ones as Doctor Who)! B.) Cast would definitely be different due to a lot of the original series ten cast growing up, and would probably be mainly different, as the location would be different too, since both Greenock academy (The old Scotland set) and the original Hill Top primary (Original Rochdale set) got knocked down a few years back. Could certainly be worth a try though!
