I myself was too busy listening to Americans like 2pac when someone I could've related better to was right here. I remember when i heard the news of your passing, I thought it was just fake news trynna surf the wave of Sasa Klass' death until I heard it from my classmates at the time. It was only last year that i took the time to listen to one of your songs. Greatness indeed. You along wth a local Ramotswa artist by the name of Rre Panango showed me that music careers in Botswana aren't myth. Most especially, you gave me the tenacity to endeavour in Motswako. I can't help but feel that the sub-genre died with you with the likes of Kast and Melo trynna revive it. I feel as if though I owe reviving the Motswako sub-genre to you because of my previous ignorance to your art pieces. I strive to imbue elements of our culture, our country in my music. Choral music and chants. Instruments and local music legends. Taking our culture to the global stage instead of copying from the global stage. I can't deny the foreign influences on our country, but I will by all means fight them off till the bitter end. When the dust settles, I shall rise tall , having engineered a whole new sound entirely. A sound that shall be envied by nations from the East to the West, for I hate how we keep supporting other countries' industries, especially those of South Africa, and leaving our own for dead. We have so many stories to tell and as we opt to watch those of other countries, I wonder if we are blind as a country. Intellectuals often say that everyone is a solution provider for someone's problem. I believe I've found the problem, a national problem, which I'm to solve. I didn't plan for this comment to be this long but Dramaboi, I'd like to say I'm sorry and thank you and I'll express this via my artistic views.
