Found my way back here
HS senior year 2010: Crazy how I’d listen to this many nights, almost every night thinking about what I wanted to do with my life and somehow become a firefighter and help people. Now 11 years later I’m a firefighter in the air force and teaching at the fire academy. Which was my dream. Work hard, believe in yourself and things will come true. Bless to all who appreciate and love this song. Much love!!!

And I always thought he was so unique.Out of all the rappers ever… I can say drake had the biggest change from back then to now.. can’t say for the best.. but I can’t say for the worst either. He’s a goat for sure. But man if he dropped something like this nowadays, I may shed a tear.

This Drake is gone. Never to return. In 30 for 30Freestyle he says that he can't rap like this, 19 wide-eyed and naive. He's drastically changing, and he's in a new space and he chooses to embrace it. He grew up and changed. No, not changed, evolved. His style, his lyricism, all of him has evolved and adapted to the years and all the new styles of rap. That's what keeps him on top.

That's a blessing bro. Life is crazy like that sometimes. Thru the good and the bad times, we gotta keep our faith in God and know that no matter what things will get better with time. I know it might not look like it is sometimes but that's the beauty of it. Not knowing what's gonna happen next is the thrill of it all. We gotta just keep on fighting this fighting 💪🏿. Everything is going to be just fine. God got us thru it all. He knew what we were going to say, do, and think of before we were even born. We just put here on this earth for nothing. We all have a purpose you feel me mane.
It's crazy how much music is able to recall certain times in your life. When this dropped, I was an 8th grader going into my freshman year at the same high school Klay Thompson just graduated from. I'm 24 years old turning 25 in 2 weeks and I'm just sitting here reflecting. If only I could go back with the knowledge I have now, but that's what growth is I guess. And this song really makes me appreciate where I am at now in life.
This is honestly my favorite Drake song of all time, it connects with me deep on A level that inspires and puts me in A mindset to truly believe it's all possible with commitment and effort. My Drake top 5 1. Closer to my Dreams(Comeback season) 2. From Time (Nothing Was The Same) 3. Too Much (Nothing Was The Same) 4. Headlines (Take Care) 5. I guess it’s f**k me (Her loss)

@jaydenjones4709 bro I'm just saying, all of us are realizing we don't KNOW DRAKE. We have NO IDEA what goes on in his studio sessions. Canadian with a Memphis accent. When you look at the Credits there's MULTIPLE names on every track.

@@fredricksmith8760 there are multiple names listed for Kendrick and every other rapper in the world…I agree that we don’t really know what happens in Drake’s studio but he’s had solo credits on more than enough songs for it to be obvious to the public that it’s his pen

The song solidified Drake as one of the greatest of all time… this man was really pushing for his dreams and was actually killing his cadence and flows while sounding like a person with years of experience… man Drake really made it. This shit is just so crazy… 🥲

So we all agree we come back to this song and it brings us back to that state of optimism when we first heard it. Keep chasing everyone.
Man I really witnessed the rise of this man I was in 8th grade when he dropped this 😭 it really all was a blur fast forward years later Drake is on of the Goats 💯
You can tell drake is a huge fan of good music, He list some good UK artist in this

The greatest to ever do it. Reached his dreams and blessed us with his presence.
Nostalgic as hell 🥹🥹 2009-12 was a time to be alive and he got a album named that 🤣🤣 the GOAT
When I first heard this song I was a meth addict, less than 10 years later I just finished my honors degree and 4 years clean. Drake I will always love you for caressing my ears with such a fine tune.

Used to think about my life while smoking to this song in high school, damn the friends I’ve lost since then. The memories.
Damn I was young in 2010 , in 6th grade playing modern warfare eating pizza roles , now I’m 26 years old😭, good ole days , before the stress and reality .

yeah he's a fucking racist then. Go check his lyrics. Surrounded by Filipinos I think of the worst case - What does that mean? Watch blue and green diamonds I call it the Earth face - dirty face? I'm gettin' ya cake I tell you how ya dessert taste - criticize filipino food I get a dessert plate Y'all eat pedigree as ya meal - you saying filipino food is a dog food?
