Here’s the reason he was talking about rules. Drake dissed cudi and everyone was pissed at him for doing, thereby saying he went too far and basically saying he broke the rules. Out comes the story of Adidon and pusha is making fun of the fact that 40 will die and everyone was cool with that. So yes drake saying there are rules is whack but I completely understand why because they placed rules on him yet push gets to say whatever and they praise him for it. Unfair bias is what that is. If pusha t can say “how much time he got? That man is sick sick sick.” Then drake should be able to ask cudi if he’s crazy with no repercussions.

LiveAndDieInChicago LiveAndDieInChicago Drake’s success is bulletproof. That’s by design. But his legacy as an “emcee” is forever tainted. Especially now that he keeps shooting himself in the foot. Imo if the track was better than Adidon he wld have dropped it. He’s an inferior rapper than Push. This mysterious diss track wld have proved that. And that’s why jay prince stepped in.

The funniest thing would be if Pusha would continuously drop new diss tracks until Drake breaks and ultimately responds

I like how one of the guys said that Drake's not 'built' for this. This is chess. I am SO sure that Push would have 'peeled this onion layer by layer' by revealing that the 'muscular Drake' is really a 'plastic Drake' because the 'muscular Drake' saw 'Dr. Miami'. Push clearly said “Duppy” only made him feel better about releasing Adidon, implying that he already planned (and probably recorded) Adidon earlier. As he said on the breakfast club, “you gotta be strategic”.

That's how actual rappers beef. Since you haven't been there to witness real back n forth between real rappers you wouldn't understand. I agree with Feffo, " Drake should ignore any other beef that comes his way". Ironically JayZ gave him that advice years ago I believe.

In my opinion, the thing that changed about rap beef is that with the advent of blogs and social media, people want to consume more media. They hear a song and go to Genius to look up the meaning. They look up interviews to understand an artist's headspace when creating their art. ALSO Pusha gettin Arby's checks so I wouldn't necessarily say Drake is stuntin on Pusha's wallet.

Cracks Ware I don’t think that is “too far”. The topic of suicide, going to hell, it’s fine. Especially considering it is handled with levity by some of the artists who were close with Steez and are with Joey I think it was just very blunt and insulting to his own fan base by throwing insults at Joey for having been friends with someone who committed suicide. He got so much backlash from his fan base cuz obviously many people have friends in their lives they have lost. Idk how he tried to save face, def didn’t recover fully.

Pusha's beef with Drake has always been about music and representation as an artist, not personal. Infrared was strictly about music and the rules in hip-hop, he didn't dive into Drake's personal life. Drake decided to jump out the window and take it there first. I'm sure Pusha was just waiting for him to toe that line before he stuck a knife deep and Drake foolishly thought he was going to play it the way he did with Meek and talk about personal shit and create memes to make people laugh--- it just blew up in his face bc he underestimated who he was going up against.
