What would you see beneath the lava if you were to drain Lethal Lava Land in Super Mario 64? Here's what I've come up with!

Interesting, no idea there was so much more to these levels beneath the surface... literally

Magma Mining Town could be the name for a hypothetical Past version of Lethal Lava Land

Videoa like this are especially interesting to be because of the story crafting. From a development perspective, LLL was extremely rushed and "tossed together" with little care. The entire story of an industrial work town flooded by an erupted volcano being derived from what was carelessly drawn up in modeling software is fun to think about.

That's fascinating, trying to imagine what could be below those platforms. There seems to be something that we don't see and we can imagine literally anything, which i find interesting. Thought i never really thought about what could be below the lava in this level, so thats also interesting to think about

Don't build a town around a volcano? But it would be so cool! And I have a great idea on how to protect the town from magma raining from the sky when the volcano erupts. Lava umbrellas! It's an umbrella but we mark up the price a few hundred dollars. Just don't tell anyone it's just an umbrella with a cool volcano logo on it.

Weird thing, but I always imagined Wet Dry World as a penal colony. I mean it is a large tower in the middle of a huge city, (that seems to be underwater by the way), that has a small town that could be flooded at any time by a simple switch. I'd like to think that, since there IS a lot of construction stuff, (such as amps to provide power to electrical equipment, that big chuckster-esque bomb, and those little things with the flippers that would be great for quickly hauling debris,) they probably used it as forced labor to have the inhabitants, the prisoners, do hard time and pay their debts to society. Best guess I have anyway.

Nice video! Although I'm surprised you didn't talk about the Bowser slide puzzle, as it could mean that this civilization was part of the Koopa Kingdom. But then again it could just be that Bowser put it there himself when he got there to hide the Power Stars. Also, considering the fact that there are flamethrowers, this could've maybe been something that serves a similar role to Bowser's fortresses, perhaps it's even a structure collapsed by the movement of tectonic plates and the appearance of the volcano.

It feels like so many Nintendo channels are just pumping out recycled game reviews, history, and just overall unoriginal content. I love seeing creative people out there makin clever stuff like this. Nice work dawg

Huh. I’ve never given too much thought to the origins of these Levels. This is a rather fascinating take. Legitimately makes me think like “okay actually what’s the deal with these levels?” I can’t not now. Thanks for sharing!
