For such a wide dam, you took out quite a bit of it. I'm sure the beavers will start rebuilding ASAP. It'd be interesting to see how long before the entire width is built up again. Hopefully, this gets a revisit

Another good one Ken!! There must have been another dam down stream as it flooded quickly right there behind the dam you were tearing apart.

Canada's national animal is the beaver. But Lithuania must have the more beavers per square kilometers than Canada. Keep going. You do a great job and your videos are very entertaining.

small boat anchor and a winch that you tie to a tree downstream. The (manual) winch is your force multiplier..just a thought

With anchor it's not interesting :) also not possible in most cases.

Great video, you framing was spot on and I am please you were showing camera 1 while you moved camera 2, made it flow much better

If you were in an area like that in the Southern states of the US the Cottonmouths and Copperhead snakes would be everywhere and you would need to be so cautious....

From the water level after it stabilized, it looks like you may have some work to do downstream. It was pretty high. Or maybe just a lot of undergrowth in the channel?

There was a dam downstream. I opened it up, but not removed. Just drained. That's why..

Are there any government/community programs that systematically cut back the vegetation to allow better physical /machine access and improve water flow?

What about explosives? Those dams blow up real good!

How many beavers does it take to create a dam of this size? I understand it’s in their DNA but this had to be a group of 2 or 3 or more. The water current/pressure was massive with this dam….. You had a serious whirlpool going just below the breach.

How come you don't use a long handle shovel and save your back.

downstream was small dam, but i've opened it up.
