@@nate7917 if they are driving fast onto the water the water can get in the air filter a blow the engine, some of the small cars have the air filter very close to the wheel

I remember when I was a kid, my mom told me about the pluggers, people who went out during heavy rains and storms like this to remove the plugs from the storm drains so that the streets wouldn't be flooded anymore. I never really clicked for me that these people are going out and doing it just because it's the right thing to do, not because they're getting paid or something. Props to you, and all the other pluggers out there. You deserve more.

I remember 4 years ago, someone's recycling bin spilled onto the main road, and I decided to just pick it up and put the stuff back in, because it would've spilled everywhere and cars could get flat tires from glass bottles. This reminds me of when my friends and I would play in the flooded streets as a kid. I remember one especially bad flood that had the whole area at least a couple of feet deep. Since it was summer, it was like a giant shallow pool for all of us kids to play in.

fact of the matter is i wouldn't even pretend to imagen myself doing what this guy did knowing there's no recognition out of it for me ,and dont even talk to me about doing it with one hand busy recording all of it! ,this is more or less the modern textbook definition of phenomenal.

We had plenty then being intelligent became uncool and guys like this started getting beat up in school and so they went into hiding. Now we celebrate degraded losers like Cardi B instead of people with brains.

Best "job" for instant gratification. So satisfying to see the road cleared. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I don't know how I got here but I never thought I would find myself watching twenty five minutes of somebody unclogging a drain but here I am. 🤣🤣🤣

just watched the unclogging the lake video from 3 yrs ago it was very entertaining and strangely calming at the same time good work

Reminds me of when I walked home from school One time my mom was too lazy to take my brother and I to school in a storm and we had to walk, it was 7am and a severe storm, not a plain one The rain was quite calm sounding though

Good for you man, doing your part to make to improve the world...love your vids keep up the good work!

The road is the way it is because the city wanted build a road and they had to hire an engineer. The engineer designed it according to all his knowledge of a perfect world and the contractor was from mars, where they don't have water drainage problems. Out here in the Northwest a lot of drains are created with the grate and they a hollow area under the curb. And sometimes the still plug up. I have watched lawn service after lawn service blow all the crap off the sidewalks into the streets and that don't help matters. Local city has a leaf pickup each fall and communicates that the leaves should be at least a foot away from the curb for water drainage (It is normally wet here when the leaves fall) but some do not get or understand the message. Good work.
