Because their references are only from western media. They got a bit better bit Hoso, but in this season it's very clear they do not get Asian references and aren't really open to it.

Like "I like visual kei but I can only wear the toned down clothes bc my mom won't let me go out in full make up /hair" . The Blouse is something every male visual kei has in his wardrobe . So , to me it was pretty basic. It's cute but meh.

I think Erika was very strong on this episode if they knew it. Not the winner, but strong. Bad part is a perfect reference, but the important people dont know the culture enough to tell well known artists from over sea's.
