Fia Ingersoll I just read your reply, have you ever played dragons life? The community is toxic, rude and uses inappropriate words or actions sometimes. So sorry if I’m hating but see for yourself and you will know what I mean, yes some roleplayers are friendly and some of the people there are ok. But not a lot of them.

The DL role play is sad. I remember a few years ago there were lots of great roleplayers in the game. This was back before it got that big update and new map. I feel like the reason the rp is kind of bad over there now is because all the good rps moved over to WoF.

Yeah, they made a huge update to the dragons, they changed the body, added arm/ leg , talon, and tail accessories, they added hair, tail tips, pupils, glowing stuff, horns and probably some other stuff. And they only changed that pink part in the adoption center to dark grey. Also there's literally 1 more save spot and u can get 4 or 6 more for rbx, you can't play music sadly- So yeah they are unappreciated most the time-

The role play issue is why I stopped with Dragons life, I found my own characters becoming OP in order to compete with others so I quit it. It helped massively in the long run. Edit: I just remembered this one time on WOF where I watched the chat the entire time because a bunch of people had set up a Greek god role play and I loved it. Somehow it managed to include the chat because I threw in some Ambrosias and the characters weren’t that bad. I even watched them from afar sometime and I was pretty impressed. Kudos to whoever organised/participated in that role play I have yet to forget it.

I agree, I ended up having to make all my OCs in DL have void elements and be gods to be equal to the eggs. In WoF, players are much more professional in RPing and have a balance. I just found myself struggling to be able to RP fairly and moved on to full-time WoF.

In dragon life, you can also change the expressions of the dragons. I still like WoF better though. In my opinion, the dragons look better, and you can almost immediately hop into an rp. In dragon life, there are many "alpha" "vampire" "glitch/robot" "toothless" "demon" and "hybrid Wolf" or whatever. It's also really hard to get into a good rp

There are good ones, I'm sure, but unfortunately I've never met one - more ofter than not they are all children with no knowledge of character development.

I'm back from almost being attacked for saying that dragons life's community was better than ours. People's responses were 90% good. Our responses was questionable though. Edit 2: I want to address that both communities need to grow, so please, treat this comment as a random survey, as I do not want to accidentally compare 2 communities and say that one is better. I believe both have room to improve, and let this comment be an example of that.

I just wanted to say something that disregards the DL community, and rather regards the game. DL literally has no lore, all the settings are almost mashed into one and it’s abnormally hard to navigate. I’m just saying, I dislike the game a bit. The morphs aren’t really that......good, when compared to the WOF ones. In my honest opinion the community is *littered* with Mary Sues, Night/Light Furies, Demons, Angels, Deities, Furries(?), and Powerplayers. I honestly prefer a community with limits, one that isn’t an entire storm of a mess. You have many Tribes to choose from, and you could be powerful, yet still have limits. That’s the beauty I find in the Wings of Fire game. However, I will respect your opinion, since I was a former DL fan. -Takes a brief moment to recover from getting slapped with nostalgia- Everyone is entitled to an opinion of your own, I can see your points quite well, however, sadly, I disagree. Yet, I respect those brave enough to speak their own opinions, well done, you have earned it. :) Most people nowadays rage over the smallest of things, yet I choose not to. So even though we both disagree, in the end, I believe, we shall agree to disagree. Thank you for reading this, I sincerely apologize for the long amount of words I used. In my opinion I think WoF wins the customization, because whenever I try to customize my dragon scales one by one it glitches and uses the color I was using and put it and the last one that I used a different color for. I hope the makes sense-

It not really a glitch for me. It’s like you tap on a certain part and what ever color you choose it becomes that even if you don’t touch the specific part. But I would say they way they programmed the color is really hard to fade with. Even if I use my method of coloring it’s still terrible. If they programmed the coloring like what Wof does that would be so much better. But I have seen some very well colored dragons, but it must take them much longer than in WoF. So the color system is supposed to be like that (I think) it just needs to be upgraded.

I love both equally! I mostly use Dragons Life to rp as my other dragon ocs that aren't Wings of Fire dragons. Legends of Kasai is great dragon game too, full of different species, horn/tail options, & generally nice people in the community.Its got the occasionally younger kid or op player, but it's a shame Legends of Kasai isn't well known. Great video btw! ^w^

What kind of bio says: "Un defeat able/needs mate"? DL is a good game, and I totally don't blame the creator...(s). It's just the roleplayers I don't like.

mhm, we have banning or warning players with admins for gross mating or if you dont know ' ' little dance on back ' ' if your young and the sour patch kids of role players, my ideal issue is that the kids will snag and slap in WOF

These are just my thoughts about each topic you brought up. /\ (Sorry for the reading) Map: I really am mixed between the maps. I'm neutral here. Coloring: DL- it's one species, but with every available color. WoF: Lot's of different species with limited, yet versatile color pallets on each. Animations: DL: Animations, yes, are jumpy, and there are only three available sounds that you can choose from. Don't forget those sounds are from another franchise in How To Train Your Dragon. The flying is also kind of dizzying. WoF: Slower animations, but not slow enough that it's like the T-rex's crouch in The Isle. :) Payments: I was to critical about the payments in DL. I might as well not say anything here. Community: DL: This community is more concerned about showing their most dominant traits, and being the most powerful. Also, mating? WoF: If you have a good group, you can have hours of amazing gameplay that you wish you could record but all you have is Screencastify! Overall, I believe that Dragon's Life is basically the baby version of WoF. These are just my thoughts about each topic you brought up. /\ (Sorry for the reading) P.S: The only really good role-play in Dragon Life is a family roleplay, and those can be strange in and of themselves. P.S.S: Like most of you fellow commentors, I am not opposed to any of these games. The big thing that brings one over the other higher or lower is the community and how they treat those around them. Seeing you able to pick the mudwing caught be off guard before I realized this was made six months ago

I think what's important to remember is that 1. Everyone is just here on both of these games to have fun, It shouldn't matter their skill of Roleplay as long as they're enjoying themselves. 2. Everyone starts off somewhere. I can personally vouch for myself, saying I know I wasn't a great roleplayer when I started Out. I probably wouldn't have been that fun to roleplay with in other people's eyes nowadays. however, it's important to recognize that I was able to get better over the years because people gave me a chance, and although I was bad, people were willing to bear with me, and surprisingly I didn't get voided much at all. I think it's because people were very nice and not being picky about their Roleplays. which I think is an important skill for us all to have. - I agree that dragon's life is less advanced than [Early Access] Wings of Fire. but even considering that, people playing Dragon's life and aren't the best roleplayers, are 1. having a good time, and 2. probably not too experienced.

I used to LOVE dragons life until I started playing WOF, dragons life is turning into just a place where people can act weird and people do things that aren’t even supposed to happen

One thing I'd like to add about the customization and maps.. Not only is there more color freedom in WoF, there's a lot more color freedom. In DL, You can make the colors lighter/darker, and that's it. In WoF, you can make it lighter/darker, AND more dull/pale, which is actually extremely helpful, at least for me. I was actually able to properly color one of my characters in WoF because I could make it darker and more pale at the same time. And with the maps.. I think at least one of the things that makes getting into roleplays easier in WoF is that there's buildings/structures/hangout areas. This gives a lot more opportunities for meeting people easier and it also gives you more options for roles. Like royalty, or a criminal, for example. I feel like this comment's gotten too long, so I'm going to end it here.. (thanks for reading this far -^-)

I remember when I used to play dragons life before WoF game, I used to see people with like 'Skywing' in their bio, and that was before I had heard of the books so I was like "Wuz that?" And thats how I learned what WoF was. Didn't read it for a while still though lmao.

I think both developers did good job on making this games, but i think Wings of Fire will win because its still in development and there will be more available things in the game i'm especially exited for the Pantala tribes to come out.

Yes they do .-. I played it for 3 years when there was the first map and back there the game was fun to role play because there was not many power players and there where no ages,elements and the only animations where sit,lay,sleep.i am sad how it turned out to be I now play wings of fire!

I'm surprised she/he even found a server that was english (In Dragons' Life). I don't know if this is because roblox uses my location, but most of the time I see russian or spanish/some other type of language, and rarely english. Edit - Yep, it was my location. I've started seeing english roleplayers a lot more now. Won't stop me from the occasional foreigner but that's not a problem.

Lol I would go to wof too! I knew it was a book series at first but I’d never read it. So once I got the game I was like “dang this is cool!” So I started to get some books and now stuff makes a lot more since and I can also assure wof is the best book series. Although I’ve played dragons life forever it is kinda weird. There are power players, no back story, way more rule breakers, and just weirdos. But I can’t bash dragons life too hard because that’s really were I’ve met all my good friends.

Yea, I love WoF. I remember when it wasn’t a game, so I just roleplayed on DL lol. I kept seeing people who were edgy and dark and not fun to be around. WoF has limits, and it’s based off one of my favorite series... so, WoF for the win!

I’ve been playing on Roblox since pretty early into when Dragons’ Life first popped up. I’m not sure exactly how long it was around before I started playing on it, but it’s honestly hard to remember a time I wasn’t so it’s safe to assume I’ve seen a lot of it’s development. Of what I remember of Dragons’ Life, it used to be slightly more tolerable than it is and part of that came from my enjoying the maps. In fact the previous map, the one before the current one if I’m remembering right was my absolute favorite because of the opportunities for roleplay that the locations offered and the implication that the map would be expanded and worked on based off the signs placed around it. The current map is honestly one of my least favorite that they’ve made and just weeks into its release I kind of stopped playing as much. And thus began the hunt for a new dragon game. I recently bought the early access for Wings of Fire, back when both Sand Wings and Ice Wings were unavailable, and I can safely say I’m excited for the updates to come. I love the current map and dragons that they have, the designs are accurate to the in-book descriptions and pictures, and you can tell they’ve tried their hardest to replicate important aspects to each tribe. While the current selection of items and especially accessories is somewhat limited it’s very clear the developers intend to add many more to make character customization that much better. In all I suppose what I’m trying to say is Dragons’ Life is incredibly unstable with the constant map switching and WoF is definitely worth the 60 Robux purchase if you can afford it. 10/10 would play again.

I think that WOF has a better community because you have to pay for it, while DL is free so there are much more little kids on it Other than that, I think a few other things are biases. Not against you, but I think this would be

Me: creates an good and realistic caratcher (good things, flaws and etc) The Mary sue one: *Alex / Nice / good / awesome / Queen of all dragons / part demon/ cute / needs m8* (Not hating, dragons life is still good and oldest lol)

When I first played DL and the advanced customization this was just... a month old and it was so glitchy. You would paint the tail and it would paint part of the wing. You had to turn off the paint tool to move your camera every time or it'll paint something you wouldn't want to paint And I swear I couldn't be a guy in DL without someone being like "Can u be my m8" then you'd decline and they'll be like "crys" "Kills you". I regret buying their game passes too. Edit: It took them like half a year to fix it idk why

The 60 robux for wof is really worth it, even for those who don’t read the books you can still see how much time and effort that game has put into it. Don’t get me wrong Dragon’s Life Ultra is probably gonna be awesome! However wof is my go-to dragon game for most of these reasons, and the video shows it

I'm going to put in my two cents, I feel like there is some bias towards WoF, but that is expected. Although that does not count as an excuse for not showing similar data for both WoF and DL. There were bios shown for DL, but not WoF. Even then, I'd say show what emotes both DL and WoF have. DL has hurt emotes on top of their normal emotes. (This does have bias, but I'd like whomever is reading this to if they are doing a comparison video to show your database, even if it is just a short clip or some screenshots. But pick stuff at random, or at both sides of the spectrum, including some in the middle.)

To be completely honest, I just showed the strange ones (about half of the people on each server). There was only like 2 people that I could say were actually decent at role-playing. Unfortunately, Dragons' Life is filled with role-players with less experience.

And the saddest part is that as soon as WoF is free, all the rainbow half "angle' demons will infest the game like roaches

The interesting thing between the two in terms of realism is that WOF was intended to be fully (or at least mostly) grounded in reality, with the exception of animus magic. In dragon's life, however, it was intended to be more fantasy-like with only a little reality mixed in.

They're both awesome games, but I prefer WoF Just because of the smoother actions and the roleplaying, even though Shyfoox studios did a amazing job on Dragon's life!

I like the old days when it was the good eastern dragon instead of the current model. And then way back then when it looked like wolves' life 2. I remember that. Nostalgia...

*Here is another option:* -RP Style: WOF- WOF is a lot more organized due to it being a book series and many people won't want to pay the Robux to get into a game about a book series they don't know of. It also blocks off a lot of bad roleplayers. People can host roleplays from the group wall or in-game roleplays, making it have a variety, but there is also a superior queen in the game (Aka Queen of the SkyWings). In Dragons' Life, it is more of a family game and is not very organized with kings and queens. Dragons' Life- This is more situated on adopting and living with a dragonet or hatchling. However, not very many people like that calm roleplay style. That's why they chose to be a king or a queen such as "King of angels" or "King of skeletons." Due to this roleplay not really being meant for that, we've got a problem with bad roleplayers who don't know how to roleplay as a king/queen without going nuts due to this not being based on books or movies that people know and love. If I missed something, please do tell me!

Fun fact: Wolves’ life 3 and wof early acess are both made by archeonia! Wolves’s life 3 was probably just the models though, but it’s cool to know ..aside from one of them never getting updates they were promised for the love of god

I used to make OP ocs on Dragons’ Life, before climbing out of my ‘absolutely stupid’ phase to ‘I need to fix this-‘ I usually don’t RP there anymore because it’s so hard to find some to roleplay with.

Tbh, I think that DL is better because it's not early access and you wont hv to wait for a LONG time on it to be released like for WoF. Also, the customization in DL might also be better . Although WoF has clans, you can pick your element, some of you body limbs and the developers of DL are working on a new species of dragon in the future. Thanks for the vid!!
