@@jeffhurst4744 copper is much sturdier than aluminium, so one can use smaller wire for the same effect. But it is much harder to wire the branch with it.

Thanks for the video, can you explain more about the process of heating the wire? It sounds like a cheaper option than buying copper "bonsai" wire

@@user-ps8ob9gi1c yes, of course! I will do it in the next video; and yes, it is much cheaper then 'bonsai' wire, up to 1/3 of the price

I found this method in Colin Lewis's book, Bonsai Basics. It really works. I collect and strip scrap electrical wire, then heat it in the same process. I have never bought bonsai wire!
