What to do if the griffin never actually flies away? I've fought 3-4 griffins at this point trying to go for this achievement. I tried telling the pawns to wait while I climb on top, and the griffins never fly away. I tried getting them half-injured... same thing. I tried this at the griffin nest and also griffins out in the wild. None of them want to fly away.

i have the same issue. Edit: ok what i did was, the grifin was sleeping in the nest (Location name : Forest grifin nest) i had only my main pawn and i shot the grifin out of its nest and moved down towards the road, i did some dmg to force it to come down,i climbed up and it flew back to the nest > Trophy poped. So it CANT be done if its already in the nest.

I’ve flown anywhere between 4-6 of them and the damn achievement will not pop up.

i have the same issue, could you solve it?

This Griffins are actually broken. Ive tried everything on over a dozen griffin's. NONE will ever fly away. I don't know what the fuck to do to get them to do it. I actually cant get this achievement.

Make sure you are not setting it on fire. It cannot fly if its wings are burning. I jumped on one as it swooped down to take an Oxen and was able to ride it the whole way to the nest. I rode another after hitting it a few times - had some stamina items and just stayed on the Gryphon until it decided to fly away. You only need to hold on if it is trying to flip around to throw you off - otherwise you can just stand on its shoulders.
