One lazy english dub (well they are all lazy but this instance was egregious because it was done simply to make dubbing EASIER for the VAs) and suddenly millions of fans are convinced its kamayamaya, which has no connection whatsoever to the Japanese language. It's named Turtle Destruction Wave in Japanese, and that is pronounced KAH-may(turtle)-HAH-may(destruction/devastation)-HAH(wave). The name of the Hawai'ian king was used as inspiration by Toriyama's wife, he adapted it into Japanese. Kamayamaya means nothing in Japanese.

Well in Avengers there was kind of an alien army invading the city they were in. The Avengers really didn't do so much damage, they just stopped more from happening. People often say Superman in Man of Steel could've taken Zod somewhere else but it's not easy to just drag someone who can match you in a fight off to wherever you like. I have not seen justice league though.

Piccolo, King Piccolo and the rest of his "family" (the mutated Namekians King Piccolo gives birth to) are _all_ named after musical instruments: Piano, Tambourine, Cymbal, Drum and Ukelele. Toriyama always have set rules for naming conventions; he doesn't name everything after food. Like in Dragon Ball Super where the Angels and Gods of Destruction are all named after alcoholic beverages.

Jessie only Saiyans are named after Vegetables. Piccolo is not named after a Vegetable (Piccolo is close to Pickles, I know) he is named after a musical instrument. Most things have a naming convention. Frieza's family has a cold theme. Some enemies are named after spices. Bulma's family is named after Underwear.
