He left his own timeline with his tail between his legs because he failed and everyone died. He got his ass kicked by the androids and gave misleading information to the Z-warriors of the timeline he fled to. Overall his arc was pretty lame and pointless. It was basically just filler for the Cell arc.

Good theme, which is ironic for a useless character. Gohan was younger than him in the timeline he came to and yet was still far more powerful than him.

@@greg77389 His interference saved goku and literally everyone in another timeline. He ended up saving his own timeline aswell and prevented majin buu from being revived on his own. So 'useless' is a pretty inaccurate word.

@@charlesowens8724 Trunks was only ever ahead of Vegeta when he came from the future, and Vegeta still ended up surpassing him in the Cell saga and beyond. Future Trunks would have been a decent fighter in the ToP but still way behind Vegeta.

@@greg77389 that's not true Trunks was stronger and Vegeta had nightmares about Goku and trunk being to turn ssj when he couldn't and admitted they was stronger. That's when Vegeta went back into the gravity room and train space. The second was Vegeta underestimated perfect Cell and the pneumatic train brake beating out of him. Trunks went ssj ultra. Which broly concept was base off. Trunks admitted being stronger to krillen and found out and was mad about it.

@@charlesowens8724 You're wrong. Trunks was only stronger than Vegeta when he came from the future after already being able to go SSJ. After they both trained in the HTC, Vegeta caught up and was then stronger than Trunks. Trunks never went "ultra" SSJ against Cell. He merely buffed up his muscles which is a useless transformation in a fight as it makes you too slow. Cell even explained this to Trunks. Vegeta could have done that form too and surpassed Trunks' raw power, he just wasn't dumb enough to try it. Broly has nothing to do with Trunks. Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan, much like Kale. They have a rare gene that lets them unlock berserk mode with the green hair. Trunks does not possess this gene.

I know I’m late but that’s no lie. Future trunks was stronger when he arrived. During android saga Vegeta became stronger than during cell games trunks performed better against cell jrs than vegeta so Trunks was stronger again. That counts to 2-1 in dbz Now for super, Vegeta was stronger than trunks when he arrived for help against Goku black and then during the end of that saga Trunks was not only stronger than vegeta he was also stronger than goku cause he nearly killed merged zamasu something which even vegito couldn’t do. So the score is 1-1 in super. So in fact Trunks is stronger than vegeta.
