@@Razzy_82 yes, like in the first game your main pawn gets uploaded on the internet and others can use it, you get plenty of rewards if people use yours plus your pawn learns secrets and quest locations/world interesting places and will guide you to them when you are close by, the pawns you use from other players do have their own interesting things and will help you with the quests and ambushes. Cheers

thats what i thought also. Otherwise the size of the character creation wouldve gotten lost. And this way people get also hyped and spend more time for the creation of the character. The last time ive spend that much time was in oblivion and skyrim when i was young.

Black Desert still has the king of character creators, but this one is pretty great. A few things annoy me, though. Too many base heads with built-in asymmetrical features and no way to fix them, a lack of a really muscular setting for female characters, and an increased minimum height compared to the previous game. Also, many of the heads look... not so great by default. Have to work to make them look good.

You could only make white characters with european features in BDO! The DD one is far better

Bro the Jennifer connelly was so good I thought it was a photo of her being compared to the terrible MJ on the left.

Tip: if you want to make something like a drow or a snow elf, you can take one of the bigger body tattoos, make it as big as possible, change the color to white or dark blue, and then decrease the opacity until you’re happy with it.

I was able to create a representation of myself that's like, 90% close to how I actually look like, the RE Engine is absolutely insane

I made myself and it’s weird how accurate it turned out.

Black desert online has the sheen slider in case you didn’t know 😂 but what’s interesting about dragons dogma is the muscle mass has a effect on your character weight

This is one of the features I love about Dragon's Dogma, even though I ultimately wasn't that into the game. It's the only game I know where physical features in he character creator have an effect on combat gameplay. Sure, I've seen the occasional buff for choosing a specific race, or NPCs having different dialog based on race/gender--but DD's built around physics-based systems that respond to your weight and shape. The bigger you are, the harder it is for some enemies to pick you up. Longer arms improves your swing range at the cost of speed or stamina (I forget which, it's been a long time). I don't have the passion for the original that a lot of fans do, but I'm pretty excited for this one.

@@OutsidersLaptop definitely only game I’ve seen this , I played it years ago when it first came out didn’t really understand it until I started playing more open world games later and how certain characters work , I think I now understand DD more that I’ve played Monster Hunter games I’m actually replaying Dark Arisen in preparation to try n remember the mechanics and it’s actually really smooth on a ps5 , trust me I wasn’t that passionate either I think mostly cuz I didn’t really understand it but replaying it now , and looking at DD2 yeah this is gonna be a good time lol

Code Vein allows you to adjust the shininess of your hair, and chest size too. It’s crazy how little option you have in that game but if you’re creative you can make anything.

For Nero I think that literally is his hair mesh from Devil May Cry. Since both are made by Capcom and use the same engine, makes sense that they could port it over quite easily.

The detail of this creator is impressive, you can even bring your worst nightmares into the game. Great video and as always your explanation is amazing.

I wish there was a way to upload our creations and share them with other players, i remade my arisen and main pawn from DD1 and it's amazing seeing them again with these visuals. This has got to be the best character creator to date.

This is sooo incredible! I’m not even gonna play the game, I’m just hyped for all the messed-up PCs and pawns that are gonna flood the world on release day. 😅

I love the creator, but I wish you could use Character Creation Codes like in Street Fighter 6, Mass Effect, and I'm pretty sure it was in Monster Hunter World/Rise (but I may be wrong). Although I know the point is to encourage the use of the Pawn Network. What annoys me is Capcom giving us 5 storage slots for each the Arisen and their Main Pawn yet we can only transfer one. Feels a bit like a waste.

Definitely tried out character creation and I gotta say I’m very impressed with just how much can tweak. I’ve already made renditions of Darth Maul and Mother Talzin as Arisen and Main Pawn respectively. Very satisfied with how both of them turned out. I may wish for just some more minor adjustments to get it even more accurate but it is still unique for my creation so it still works regardless.

I made Guts as my Arisen and made Frieren as my main mage pawn and im very fullfilled with them. A 204 cm badasness with a 160 cm cute elf girl.

Todd Howard got me laughin hard ngl, great work on creating these characters, it amazes me how much effort people put into this

It's weird that sometimes they get the nose wrong. But a few tweaks and I got it looking better. Just odd that they do such a good job only to neglect the nose sometimes. Still glad they posted their settings, I couldn't get anywhere near this accurate from scratch.

Def gonna have to look some of these up to look at the numbers and faces chosen these are wild

Honestly this was fun, just trying to guess each character presented and seeing if you were right or wrong. Honestly maybe you should do another one of these videos? I would enjoy it :)

Dragon's dogma has one of the top most detailed and most awesome combat in a rpg to date. The first game character creator changing how your character looks build wise affects your stats and how you manuver the world.

I was able to create an arisen and main pawn that I am super happy with but a few times I had the character creator just completely freeze up and crash. Sometimes most of what I had done was saved and I was able to go back in but others it I lost huge amounts of work that I had done. So I'm just going to stick with what I already made and I stopped messing around with it.

Can't wait to see everyone's custom pawns in my game probably going to be in pawn selection for awhile lol

How do you put scars on the face?

This looks almost identical to the Street Fighter 6 character creator, which also is a Capcom game using RE Engine. SF6 was for sure the most insanely detailed character creator I’ve seen in a game… which is wild considering it’s a fighting game. I spent hours messing around with that one, so this will be no different.

"Details that you just don't see in other games. I'm talking about changing the sheen in your hair! What game has that?!" [Also he was showing how you cab edit multiple parts of your hair.] Funny you said that. I downloaded DD2 and Rise of the Ronin today and triebd RotR out first. I spent a couple hours designing my twins because it had many of these settings, like with the hair. I don't think it's as good as DD2, but I just find it funny that both games I got today have extremely indepth and similar Character Creators. 😂

I just made Zuko and Uncle Iroh from Avatar in that character creator, the dream team :D It's insane what's possible there. You got so much options to create either completely horrible but also really nice looking characters (unlike in fromsoft games, where it's only horrible, lol)

It is true. This character creator is up there. Though, I’ll be one to say I ABSOLUTELY HATE when they have a feature this in depth…. Yet once we initially make the character we are unable to go back and re edit our character as in depth. I absolutely do not understand why they do this so often. I understand confining us within the race and gender that we’ve chosen, BUT it is such an injustice to such a well done feature. Hopefully that’s not the case for DD2. C’mon, we’ve got magic and spells in the game lol which can work better than plastic surgery.

With Elden Ring you get 9 slots to saving creations. Its not available for DragonDogma2, I made alot and really want a way to save some. WoLong had lots of save slots for creations.

Sadly, my goblin has to be the tallest goblin ever(1.60 m) and fair skinned. I hope they change minimum height by release or at least give us more control over skin/hair color. I don't care if its defaulted in online I just want to see my character nearly similar has my DDDA character.
