My favorite fruits: Pitaya, Prickly Pears, and watermelons. I like fruits that are mild and fresh. I never do smoothies. I cold press the fruit in stainer and bowl. Take my tea glass with ice and I am in heaven.

A colorful display of Pitayas! I grow the red and white flesh, first batch 2 weeks ago yield about 75lbs. Waiting for at least 1 to 2 more yields before end of season. Happy eating!

The Dragon fruit festival is definitely very fun and I enjoy it very much! It's always so fun to chat and have nice conversations with everyone about Dragon Fruits its definitely enlightening. I always leave feeling so happy when it ends. Looking forward to next years festival already!

My fav is the yellow one! Very sweet! Good for detox. I go to the bathroom within the next hr like waterfall! Not even kidding! Stay hom for me when eat the yellow one

Dear Richard, I only recently subscribed and I am enjoying all the information you are giving us - Thank You so much! I've only tried / tasted Dragon Fruit once and didn't care for it much but I also never knew there are so many varieties out there. My brother planted a couple of dragon fruit on my property but I had no idea there is such important ways to (have to?) take care of the plant and the fruit. I plan to watch all your videos from the beginning so that I can educate myself on their care and production of fruit. I want to be able to give my bother the fruit. Last year is the first time I've seen blossoms come out on the stems - I didn't know the flowers had to be pollinated by hand! So therefore - we got no fruit from them. I am so happy to come across your channel!! I don't have any idea which variety my brother planted. I have some questions: 1. If I click on "Play All" will the videos automatically start on your first video???? If not could you please tell me the order I need to watch the videos?? 2. could you please put me on your list to send seeds to??? My Property is in Riverside county so it is VERY HOT. Could you send seeds to what is, in your expert opinion, the best tasting Dragon Fruit?? Will the best tasting ones survive in the heat of the Inland Valley?? 3. Would it be okay if I sent you pictures of what I have right now and would you be able to tell what Variety I have from the pictures and be able to advise me on what I need to do? That's kind of vague. It's hard to tell until you cut it open. As you have seen though, some look physically different on the outside than others. Odds are you have a red outside to white flesh variety, it's most common.

Hi Richard nice varieties of Dragon Fruit you have shown us! I'm new to planting, and the one I have only bore one fruit while some of the other ones fall off after blooming. So which one of these varieties are self pollinating while has a red sweet flavor. Is the Equador Paloris self pollinating or the one you have (American beauty) is one? Thank you From Philippines

I have few acres of land in india and would like to focus on developing/bringing different varieties of dragon fruit plants than fruit production in bulk. What is the best variety? The one that has a distinct flavor? Or does it all taste alike??

Do you find any difference between Vietnam White and Giant Vietnam apart from the size?

Meanwhile in Croatia you cannot buy dragon fruit anywhere... -.- I managed to buy one fruit to get the seeds but I'm not sure if this variety produces pollen or not... Couple of more years to see...

@@giannissamos533 There's one guy near Zagreb (capitol) who grows dragonfruit in the greenhouse and they produce fruit... But he's the only one and probably has limited supply... In the other hand, we could import the fruit but our market is too small for selling dragonfruit (people even don't know this magnificent fruit)...

Hi...l grow the Giant Vietnamese white and red, and they are so easy to care. They are self pollinating, so no need to worry about hand pollinating them. Btw, l live in 91722

Hi Cezannie, in my own personal opinion. The best tasting one to me would be Tricia, Asunta, and Physical Graffiti. Best variety to grow in LA, CA would be Sugar Dragon, Tricia, and Physical graffiti. They have tendency t o be high yielding once they are at a mature stage. Specificially Physicial Graffiti they are very vigor grower and produce big fruits in abudance. That one is worth looking into. You just need to make sure you have pollen to cross pollinate to be able to bear fruit from these variety. Sugar Dragon's pollen is a universal pollen which can pollinate all other dragon fruit varieties to successfully bear fruit.

Those varieties are awesome! They are the best for beginners and bear fruits on their own. Self pollinating so you wont need to cross pollinate with another variety. Those also are high yielding varieties.

In terms of sweetness I would say of the yellow variety (that I've tried). It's taste somewhat resembles that of honey. In terms of productivity I have no idea, that would probably depend on the plant itself.
