This Sunday’s tutorial is a style we call the “Dragon Braid”. It takes two simple laced braids, combines them and pancakes the top to give a “dragon spike” effect. 🐉
Don’t let the name scare you, this style is one thats both sturdy and elegant, great for playgrounds or ballrooms!
As always, don’t take our word for it. Try it out and see what you think!😉

She's got maybe half of mine ... I loooove such looks, but can’t do it on my own. I shouldn’t watch such videos 😩🤪 @Liviahel - your picture looks great, this would work! Try it! Update: end 2021 I cut over 60 cm, it went short (still close to shoulder 😉) …. Totally forgot - when shorter it looks more because the weights gone. @Liviahel - have ever tried it? Guys - stay healthy and safe 😘

Except that you can see how horribly thin it already is on top, caused by follicular damage from pulling her hair back so tight... By the time she is a teen, her hairline is going to be halfway back to the middle of her head...

Howdy. Single dad here. Im messing up the braid part (no bump!). Any way you can show the "lace braid" part step by step? My daughter & I have a challenge for one new hairstyle every single day and your channel is great. This one has me thrown and we'd love to do it!!!

Hello single dad👋🏻 This style is quite simple if you already know how to do a "french braid"? If you don't know how to do that style, we have a tutorial for that right here you can watch: kzread.info/dash/bejne/laSVzMGylaqTeqg.html "French braiding" is adding a section to each side of the braid.......well, for this style, (first you part the hair in the middle) you would only add a section to one side which is called "lace braiding" For example, if you start on the Right Side of the head, you would add a slice/section from that same Right Side to the braid. Do that a couple of times and before you add anymore section to the braid you'll want to tug/pull the side (that the section hasn't been added to) out and continue. I hope that makes sense?

Pretty cool looking braid. At first, I thought it was gonna be one of those complicated 4 or 5 strand braids. It actually looks pretty easy to do.
I tried it, followed the very easy instructions and had a GORGEOUS braid at my weekend outing! Thanks again!!!!

Very ingenious! It makes her hair look like a single enormous braid! She looks like she has at least double the amount of hair she does! Excellent!!
I'm looking for ways to do my niece and my sister's hair! This is amazing and very well explained!!
Love this style! I've always loved the look of braids like this, but most of the ones I've seen have been 'pull-through' braids which are difficult to do if you have really thick hair. This is super helpful!
Tis looks fairly easy and gives great effect. I'm definitely gonna try this out once i grow my hair longer.

Help! Where does that little area of hair go between the part and each braid? You only add from the outside, so what about that 1 inch strip all down each side of the part, cuz you're not adding that in. So I end up with just a bunch of free hanging hair at the bottom when I'm finishing.

Just a thought for a more formal look you could’ve taken some pretty ribbon & “laced” the 2 braids together. Beautiful! Wished I could do this in my daughters hair. She is biracial with more black hair texture....doubt would lay right.

I support you could use ribbons to hold them in place. To hold the bobby pins in place so they don't fall out, try criss crossing the bobby pins together next time if that makes sense?
@k.fuentes7448

Heidi McDowell I would think you could use some sort of color matching embroidery thread or ribbon or even some fishing line to bring the two braids together with a needle and then just knot it end of the braid, crisscrossing two ribbons through the "scales" would look really nice too.

You could probably take a small third section of hair right by the part, all the way down, to use to weave instead of using ribbions. Might be annoying to keep it out of the way of the other braids while braiding tho.
