For the logic he gave. Pan could have been protector of Earth. Anyone for that matter. Just felt like a rushed story arc. Granted it wasn't terrible. @@JosephShemelewski

That was my exact thoughts. Why does he have to live in that villiage and use their resources? My Satan might be loaded but we got zero confirmation of how much he gave. Mr Satan lies to everyone. About Cell. About winning tournaments. Fixes rounds. Why would we think he'd give enough to make a villiage wealthy? He might give some. It might do fine. Bottom line is, Goku will be using some of that resource when he can just go home. Just seems so random that back in the day, that was the official end.

@@Canas94 Mr. Satan only really lies about his fighting prowess. Doing this act of generosity wouldnt even be a hesitation from him. Dude is a good guy but has to maintain his status in the public's eye about his abilities. Also, by this point in the story he's retired and a legend. He doesnt have to defend himself much anymore. That and TECHNICALLY, if not for him, Kid Buu would have destroyed the entire universe

the whole story after buu deafeat and that little epilogue BEFORE the episode where you see this (years later) is NOT canon. Never was. Akira Toriyama wanted to finish Dragonball Z after the cyborg saga and kept on going because of demand, but the episode (this episode) is not his idea at all. You saw it on Dragonball Super where he continued the canon story. The people who own Dragonball now uninterupted and in 100% control may or will somehow make up a story which this episode makes sense and where gt maybe makes sense as well. (like death of the gods and god ki or sth. they can literally make it up so GT makes sense)

@@chonlasitcheodchan7381 yeah, i just been binging random DB stuff last few days, looking at wiki's and following up on a decade of stuff. It seems like with these new parallel dimension and time related stuff, they could easily just pocket time dimension GT and anything leading up to it that the fandom doesn't consider canon be canon there. Interesting enough, these whole canon or not canon thing is kinda stupid. After deep diving into a bunch of random and old places on the internet. My conclusion is that GT was and always was canon at some level, and the evidence against it seems to be "technical and semantic definitions". Did Akira Toriyama make it or the series brand make it?, Do some side stories count and what defines a side story to be counted. What counts as official and unofficial released information or data. Which statements are truly legitimate, fabricated, or politically fanbase oreinted? What about the dissonance in anime and manga release periods. The more you dig, the more contradicting and convoluted the fanbase gets with their technical terms and semantics. The only thing I can really find that everyone agrees with is that the video games are not canon, even though they probably follow the best route in canon terms.
