You know, for the longest time in this Intro, I wondered what on Earth Goku wished for in the end. Turns out it wasn't "On Earth Goku wished for." It was out of this world. Probably wished the moon back. Seemed pretty excited about it; the Earth wouldn't function correctly without it lol

I am a pretty dark type of dude but 50 seconds to the end of this I just keep getting chills and trying to hold back the tears. when life was so awesome and exciting as a kid when I played this game for weeks, when I first got it I just kept wanting to get out of school to go play it. This intro got me into DBZ as a kid when I first saw my brother play it on PS2. Thank you Akira Toriyama for the memories and the childhood of Dragonball Z

I swear, this and Budokai 3 are my favorite DBZ game openings ever. The music and animation are fantastic

I swear kid buu was hard to beat for no reason in this game Randomly fired up budokai 2 and Kid buu literally demolished my Vegeta, Goku, and adult Gohan . They don’t make them like Budokai 2 Kid buu anymore :/

The Chimera he was the last person you fight so of course he is hardest. He tested how good you are at the game.

No matter how you feel about Dragon Ball as a series I think we can all agree... there will never be anything like Z ever again. It was truly the peak of the series. I come back to the Z games, mainly to relive nostalgia but also to relive the moment I enjoyed with my friends, family, people I’ve come to love and hate. Moments that made me yell, scream and cry. Moments where I was so angry or happy or sad because of a fictional world! Thank you Toriyama-Sama. You’ll never be forgotten.

I do, I used to play rom hacks like this but never knew how to save( I was darn too young to care about what files were or how they worked, so I would be darned and weirded when it never kept my progress.

So many fucking memories. Dragon ball Z gives me nostalgia like nothing else ever will. Almost shed a tear listening to this and idgaf.

I'll never forget when I was a kid and I asked my mom if I can have a PS2 for christmas just so I can play the first budokai game. The look of joy I had when not only she got me the first game but also budokai 2 was priceless. I was incredibly shook because I didn't even know there was a sequel, best christmas of my childhood.

This is the best opening ever! It manages to capture the feel and story of the entire show in less than two minutes. The ending with the Spirit Bomb is just epic.

It's kind of a shame this didn't make the HD collection. Gokule and Tiencha never made another appearance (as I recall). Same for Kibitokai

It wasnt hard if you knew how to equip the special moves onto story mode. For example in the kid buu stage you had kid goten or trunks as an option to use in the last stage. If you put (for custom moves) gotenks transformation you could whoop everyones ass in that stage. I personally found the super stage harder. If you lost gohan or trunks or tien etc he would absorb them thus being stronger than before.

The BEST Budokai opening. Why do I say this? This is actually about the DBZ world, and not just about the fighting that goes on in DBZ. This is why I love this intro. It shows off everything we love about DBZ!

Glenn Daulton Uhh, im not sure about the exact details but apparently theres a song in the game, "Warrior from an Unknown Land" and it sounds quite similar to Stratovarius. So there is or was a lawsuit going on about the music. Instead of changing the music for the game, they just decided to scrap it all together and not include it in the HD remake.

A better Ki system then Budokai 1, No bullshit RPS Dragon Rush like in Budokai 3, and just a solid fight system where combos are used to perform Ultimates, not Dragon Rush. Who cares if it didn't follow the DBZ Storyline? We all know it. If we didn't, we most likely wouldn't be playing the game.

I'm so glad that this and battlefront 2 were the first games I ever played as a kid. Those times were so simple

Christmas of 2003 was awesome for me cause in my stocking I got both Budokai 1 and 2 and spent the rest of my Christmas break playing 2 xD This opening hypes me up every time.
