But, once Goku came home, Goten basically became Gohan Mk2 under Chi-chi.

And Toriyama kept being a dick about copyright, even though they're abridged series kept people interested in his manga for like 13 years by itself. A decent chunk of people likely wouldn't have remembered the show at all if it weren't for them, but Godoriyama decided it was a no go.
