He knows martial arts yes but it doesn't really matter since he just pounds on Broly regardless. Goku however is far weaker than Broly but is able to match him for a while because of his martial arts techniques. It is during their battle that we most clearly see the difference in their fighting techniques . Broly is a brawler who literally tries to stomp on Goku. Goku is a martial artist who even uses the collapsing frozen ground to his advantage. Goku vs Broly is a far better comparison to your martial artist kid vs the strongest kid in school, and frankly it makes me cringe that I had to spell that out to you.

Still big ups to Broly though. Before Blue, he was still giving the hands and it was basically an even fight even when Gogeta was Super Saiyan. The level of pure control and perception of the godly blue form just finally tipped the scale where Goku and Vegeta could finally and freely flex their martial arts mastery over Broly's self-taught style. And even then, Broly was tanking everything Gogeta Blue hand and kept coming...featwise, for durability, that's a massive dub for the angry boy.

Broly didn't even stand a chance. Gogeta is so ridiculously overpowered Broly just spent the good part of 9 minutes getting absolutely annihilated and toyed with. And yet this entire part was animated so beautifully and perfectly, absolutely nobody cares how 1 sided it was. It was just amazing.

​@@NamFoService This. If anything, it's super impressive that even when fused and even as Super Saiyan, Broly was basically even with Gogeta and landing some serious hits. Even just the base fusion is a massive enough multiplier to swing a losing fight into a stomp, but that just sorta like Goku and Vegeta finally actually hit Broly meaningfully. But yeah, Gogeta going Blue was where it was donezo. Broly legitimately never hit him a single time afterward, not even a blocked shot. But hey, even then, Broly tanked literally everything Gogeta Blue hit him with without dropping until the end...in the end it was the control of self and extra speed/perception of the blue form that just pushed Goku and Vegeta's merged martial artistry to finally overmatch Broly's self-taught style and on-the-fly adaptation.

I like it but it's no Ultimate Battle. When that shit hit for the first time, it easily became the best song to date since Hero by Flow.

Mihai Mercenarul, yeah. Ultimate Battle feels focused, while Broly vs Gogeta feel more hyped.

It is BEAUTIFUL I've listened to this masterpiece for many hours but still my heart is not satisfied. IT IS A MASTERPIECE.

Ikr Not gonna lie it increases the hype over 9000 times and more! The Broly part sounds kinda savage and building up to ever increasing action! It's like it's encouraging Broly to keep fighting or something lol And then the Gogeta part sounds kinda like a retaliation to me for some reason, kinda slick tbh The first time I heard the Gogeta chants, I deadass thought they were saying 'Vegeta' until I listened more carefully-- actually it kinda sounds like Christopher Sabat's voice too 😂😂😂

I love how in the end of this fight, Gogeta beat up Broly so hard that he actually snapped back into reality right before the wish was made, he would of died right there.

The final minute of this is fire!

Truly a masterpiece! Amazing work as always. You never cease to impress.

Okay, I'm not sure if they'll actually say this in the movie, but I'll say it for old times' sake. Broly: Kakarot! Gogeta: I am neither Goku nor Vegeta. *Goes Super Saiyan* Gogeta: I am Gogeta, the one who'll defeat you!

1:42 gave me chills.

me and my bros got too watch this in the theater, and my favorite memory of that night, is how half the theater was chanting Broly & the other half Gogeta in sync with the battle music... Made that fight even more epic

I absolutely love this movie, and this cover. The soundtrack was something that really, really boosted this movie's greatness to me. Know what else I love? How I actually really feel bad for Broly by the end of this fight. It's so delightfully against the grain, and perhaps even thought-provoking.
