Personally I hope this can stand up to the masterpiece that Budokai Tenkaichi 2 was. And also the return of Super Android 17 from GT, as well as the rest of the GT characters. Also, I understand how long, potentially stressful and complicated it is to make a game but, could we have character customisation? Similar to Xenoverse where we can make our own character of any race with any applicable movesets and special attacks? If so that would make this one of the best Dragon Ball games of all time!

Stop. It's a DBZ game. Not only that but it's a prequel to one we love. This isn't Bethesda, EA, creators of cyberpunk or ect. It'll be a lot harder for them to screw this up than it seems. It'll be ok gameplay wise but not micro transactions wise.

They actually made a game with gameplay we have always dreamed of

Something small but they need to use the classic punching noises from the previous games in the Sparking series. The hits sounded more powerful and dramatic

its so crispy and smooth, beautiful graphics and animation, and there is literally impact frames. this game looks like an actual crazy episode with how nice the graphics are.

The fact that the game looks THIS good yet is still under development, that's scary amazing. Damn i really hope this comes out soon. Just seeing this alone makes me extremely hyped to play it.

The mix of classic and new battle mechanics along with a STACKED roster is going to be amazing. I'm sad Akira won't be around to see this game thrive but he'll be watchin in spirit. Rest In Power

i kinda dont like it. In tenkaichi 3 the ambience gets dark and emphasis is on the beams clashing, much more cinematic imo. And the rotating camera is so distracting, i wanna spectacle at the beams colliding, not get motion sickness from a spinning camera. You barely take in the clash with how much is going on. And, BUTTON press?! man...i was hoping to spin the fuk out my sticks, but I guess they're keeping xbox players in mind since they dont have the double stick layout. Still I hope they dont go with what they have as the final beam clash mechanic. itll be the only thing disappointing in the game. everything else looked NICE.

One thing I wish they changed was when you get hit back and fall you do this weird animation, after being pushed back by a blast or kicked/punched it would be cool if you were stuck in the wall

It was called Evolution Z . To me it is the most important feature and I was struggleing to find anyone who even mentioned it. You could even make characters worse if you wanted to, so your krillin vs Broly match can feel realistically dire with a massive power gap. Another important detail that isnt mentioned is how I want stronger passive regeneration when chararcters are on standby and the item that boosts healing on standby was BROKEN so it needs a nerf.

Yoooo talk about nostalgia some of my best childhood memories were playing the budokai tenkaichi games me and my nephew and some cousins would hold tournaments and would be screaming along with the characters when they would power up and do there signature attacks 😂 Rip Akira Toriyama thank you for such a legendary and iconic anime 😢

3:43 a very small detail that i absolutely love. The dust and smoke clouds are interactive, they move away when something goes through it like the ki blasts. If it does the same when characters fly through id be so happy, thats extreme cinematic!

IT would be so cool if there would be like a cinematic mode where u can watch your fight replays.

The characters look more close to camera in bt3 . They should also make characters little bit closer to the screen in sparking zero which would make this game record breaker , also the sound effect and the background music was so awsome in bt3. They should use those sound effects.

BT3 has 3 or 4 camera types you can change in the options

When you played so much budokai 3 you know exactly which sounds they reused from it. I missed them.

@@BigCyanTo me it seems like they could be temporary using existing audio for trailer and development purposes and have plans on recording new lines or similar lines later on. We won’t know anything until the final product comes out. (That or it must be some kind of hidden tradition to use the same audio for these types of Dragon Ball Games)

Just not the beam clash. I hope they rework it to be more like how Tenkaichi 3 was. Basically I’d rather have a Dbz Goku vs Vegeta type clash rather than a DBS Broly vs Gogeta clash. The spinning camera and dimension effect just doesn’t make it feel epic to watch. In fact? you barely watch anything with how the camera spins. I wanna see the beams struggle with a dark ambience like in BT3. The current build just spins the camera to each player until the mini game is done….doesn’t feel epic at all but is flashy for sure

@@dominicg3316 dude i cannot honestly believe you think the clash mechanic here is better than what we had in BT3…..btw, it’s literally a mini game/mechanic so to speak, you press button at a perfect time to win meter, player with the better timed presses wins. Like I said, they went for a DBS Broly vs Gogeta beam clash. When what fans would rather have is a DBZ Goku vs Vegeta beam clash. If you really rather have what we got here, I can’t believe it, and don’t know how you can accept that. I love everything else about the gameplay, but the Beam Clash is one thing I don’t hope makes it to the final release

The hair movements when it blue actually flow with the wind is fantastic especially the return of the torn clothing. I love how the hair is not just a stiff hat when the characters fly around or when it's hit, etc etc.

The torn clothing is not done in real time it sux and no blood. When I watch anime like the fight Goku SSJ2 vs Vegeta SSJ2 I see their clothes slowly deteriotating and they have blood on their faces, arms etc. It's no big deal to do... and do it progressively. Same for the environment: why no holes in the ground related to the power you use? So lazy... it looks like it's just a sprite (and for the clothes, just a different skin, like a pre-generated "torn clothing" skin).

Just wished that the actual beam hit had some impact. It looked more like he got pushed by the beam instead of actually getting hit. Like in the old games the beams used to explode on impact but I guess thats not a thing anymore. Oh well still looks great 😅

This got me excited, here I was a week ago planning on trying to find a copy of #3 just to play it again. Was sort of hoping for motion controls like Wii-Wii-u had for 2 and 3, it made the fights feel more personal doing the movements. This is still good though, has me excited. Hope they do a good job with a huge roster and forms.

Really love the added detail between Vegeta and Goku's SSJB forms. Where Goku has some green flowing throughout his, Vegeta has purple. very good detail.

Delay all you want , Don’t BS this Game it looks incredible, bringing back beam clashes……..made me smile😢😊

For those who dont know but Gokus Super punch cinematic is from Super dragonball Heroes the anime ep 13 when Goku fights Hearts, seems this game is pulling stuff from SDBH aswell

The camera work behind the player makes the fight feel soooooo much more alive, it’s a small detail but the shake, depth change, angle, blur and zooms give a ‘’feel’’ to the fight. It’s amazing. The cartoonish animations of the wind and sound barrier breaks also make it feel brilliant just from watching it. I can’t wait to play this. Props to the dev team, amazing job. And RIP to the goat 🙏

Man, the nostalgia train hit me hard. I remember spending a sh*t-ton of time in Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3 as a child and occasionally with my Dad, even though he didn't know anything about those games and Dragon Ball in general. He still played it with me regardless of his missing knowledge, even if I won 80-90% of the time. I miss those times...and also him. RiP 😔

The way the camera was moving at 2:35 is dynamic like it’s a fight scene from a movie😍🔥🔥🔥

One of the best things about the Tenkaichi series was the character interactions before battle, it's amazing to see the expanded it to characters that definately never interacted prior. Makes the battles feel all the more personal and immersive.

to the dev team guys something i want to propose and maybe consider can you ad screaming vo during the clashing beam struggles like the show would be awesome just a thought rather than the characters sitting there waiting for the clashing to end it will make it more powerful impactful and immersive take care!

I'm so hyped for this counting down the minutes ❤❤🎉🎉

Tenkaichi 3 was and still is one of my favourite fighting games of all time. And this game looks its so close to that. So far everything looks amazing, I really hope this game succeeds.

It’s the little details. Like how the clothes have litter flitters. Everything flows

Please make the ki waves actually go through the characters. Not as in pierce through them but make the waves bigger so that characters basically go inside them and the rest of the wave damage the floor or whatever it hits. In my opinion it would make landing a ki wave attack a lot more satisfying and it would look better from the pov of the guy getting hit
