Despite the controversial and sometimes more negative opinions fans have on this show, I'll always love it, even the black star dragon ball saga. I found it to be a lot of fun overall and lets not forget how it gave us SSJ4, which is one of my favourite transformations in the entire series. So I'll always be grateful for all the good this series has done. Great video as usual

Watching it on toonami back in the day was lit for me I fully enjoyed the series...I remember a few people here n there on forums saying that GT sucked then all of a sudden u see it on yt and then that was it every one all of a sudden hated it

Like something I need to watch? I've heard it's like an alt universe, but obviously pilaf and stuff are kids in super again, then Pan is a baby somewhere in super, which is set further from the buu saga right?

What......so you're saying Akira original work is wack and this Toei adaptation is better? Akira in the heavens disappointed in you my man.

When I was just a kid, I didn't understand much English but 'Dragon Ball Z' was close to my heart. Pretending to fly high and blasting Kamehamehas filled my days. Thanks, Akira Toriyama, for coloring my childhood with epic adventures! Rest In Peace

GT is so underrated. It was the perfect ending to dragon ball. I was crying by the end of this video.

Hercule standing up to Great Ape Baby while every other Saiyan is down knowing he has no chance just to try to protect his granddaughter was the highlight of the whole GT for me. He wasn't a hero because of circumstances, Hercule deserves to be known as the world's bravest man.

I watched this after Toriyama passed, this is one of the greatest videos ever, even if its not intended to be a goodbye, i'd say it fits way better. Good bye Goku san, goodbye Toriyama sensei.

GT was kinda goated during its run.

@@Khann_2102 yes, even Shueisha had said this when they published an official dragon ball timeline. It goes as follows : DB, DBZ, DBS then finally DBGT. Although GT is more or less a "Grand side story" stated by the late Akira Toriyama-sensei himself.

Moral of the story: GT stands for Goku time

GT was my childhood. But never had a chance to watch it. My friend always telling me the story of GT, drawing for me Super 17, Baby. When im a bit older i tried to find GT to watch but i got stuck in work and forgotten about it. Thx to this vid i can go thru whole GT in an hour

There was just too much ridiculous things going on for me to truly enjoy it through and through, but this video summary does a fantastic job of highlighting the key story elements of GT and makes it much easier to watch 😂

@bigzoinks93 Nothing specific really, it's just a strange juxtaposition of zany behavior/antics and serious moments that I just thought felt strange coming from watching DB and DBZ. But don't let that stop you from watching it yourself I still recommend it to any DragonBall fan 😉

I’ll never forget buying a VHS from this Comic Shop that had the first few episodes of Dragon Ball GT in Japanese with English subtitles. Bootleg but this was before DVDs were even a thing. Think a paid like 30 for it too lmao definitely got hustled.

Thanks for putting this together. I had never watched GT. The ending took me back to that feeling I got when DBZ finished.

I cried when gt ended i was only 9 so many years later it still hits me in the feels. Until we meet again and we did meet again when i was a grown adult with db super. People hate on super but honestly i needed to see goku and friends again

Back when GT aired I started watching it but dropped a bit into Baby's arch because I never really got invested in GT as a whole. I remained curious about some of the stuff there but never went back to watching it, and I'm loving this video as it has great cuts and a good synthesis of the story. I'm more invested in this than I remeber being in GT back then xD Thank you for this and congrats on the great work.

53:17 I understand Goku’s internal struggle, he doesn’t want to hurt his own granddaughter. I can’t imagine what would happen if he decided to sacrifice Pan’s life in order to defeat Naturon Shenron, he would have to explain to Gohan and Videl what happened and then revive Pan after all is said and done.

I never got a chnace to enjoy GT but from what I did see it was great. Great show thanks for the video

man, idek where to start this was a great summary of it. I grew up on dragon ball so finally seeing something like this and getting to know the story it does something to the little boy in me. :,)

That SS4 Transformation was so great

The ending with kid goku going off to train with shenron leaving it up to the view to Imagine how powerful he’s become will always be my favorite ending to any series

I always loved GT. It gave us so many iconic fights, villains and transformations. We miss you Toriyama-san.

Goku won't accept help from Ultimate Gohan and SSJ3 Gotenks, because GT stands for Goku Time.

GT had its strengths and weaknesses, but one trope that it does that I think REALLY outshines many other series on top of Super, it's that it passes the torch on to a younger character and moves on, rather than relying on multiple unverses.

Everyone thinks that GT is underrated, but I found it actually nice

I remember when I first seen it in the early 2000s on the Syfy channel it aired at 4:00am so I couldn't watch all of it because I had school but I remember being blown away because I was watching DBZ on Toonami in the afternoon after school homework.

​@@jz1612 In NZ to watch DBZ, we shared a television network with Australia called SKY. There was a channel called Cartoon Network, that eventually became shared with Nickelodeon that aired during the day. DBZ was aired in the Toonami slot, but at 1am, so I used to book the show through the sky UHF decoder unit and set the VCR to record at a specified time slop. Ild then dub it over to another tape to take the ad breaks out but noticed loss in quality as I used Long Play. I dont think GT aired here? DBS definitely did.
