This puts Solas's action into much better context, both him and the old inquisitor "went to sleep" thinking they were leaving the world a better place only to wake up and find things didn't go the way they were meant to at all and that everything they did was for nothing

He made me feel even better and 'in-place' for having an Elven mage inquisitor.

Ameridan is the man. I straight up fangirled when I met him the first time and realized it was him.

@@anders8461 It probably resonates with people as an elf voice due to more than a passing similarity with that of Haldir in LOTR: The Two Towers. Different actor of course and Craig Parker is from New Zealand not the UK, but it is really quite similar. Parker has not evidently done voice actor work though. Perhaps they should invite him too if Matthew Gravelle isn't wanted.

Well, take off the horns and he looks 100% human (unlike the Bull) so that must be the trick I guess.

The voice acting is world class here. Seriously they need to bring this voice actor as a companion in DA Dreadwolf. Like an elf companion.

I believe she will succeed but only for a generation or two. People tend to forget the founding principles of an Order as Time goes on tho I really like Cassandra's personality.

No they wont. Cassandra is dumb as a rock and way too naive, she believes in good and evil and is too conservative, as a Divine she rebuilds the chantry and templars exactly as they were, so the Seekers will be the same as well, give it 8 or 800 years and it will be the same corruption.

Did he have any cool quips? I finished this before the main story (still not done bc I had to wait for sale btw) and took Solas, Cassandra and Cole. Which made the battles a bit harder because I never use Cassandra or Cole so their equipment sucked.

It's funny because Cassandra is a Pentaghast. Which is a family of dragon hunters.

Part of me was kinda expecting that after American said "I never wanted this job. Hunting demons was so much simpler than politics", the following line would be "I wanted to be... A LUMBERJACK!!!" and then everything goes insane. Sorry, don't mind me. I've been watching too many Monty Python because of this game's name.

I was very pissed because I swear when I first made the run of the whole game I got the staff but then restarted it and got ride of all my play throughs and stopped playing for a year or so and started my run again not too long ago and got here and was like wtf is this

Am I the only one who wanted to see the repercussions of this in the story but hated that the game didn't give any? Cassandra better have mages at her side in DA4.

I wish that it would be possible to recruit ameridan as a companion.

You have to complete her personal quest to get that dialogue option. It is availabel regardless of race, so long as the quest is completed prior

no, corypheus is just over 1000 years old give or take, remember his actions started the first blight in about -200-100 ancient, once the first blight was defeated after about 100 years andraste rose up in rebellion and eventually beat the imperium back, corypheus was no there when the veil was created as that was about 5000 years back before the start of the games give of take

It's a little late, but maybe Ameridan did something similar to Solas where he walked the Fade while bound and picked up the tongue from memories of the ages? Another possibility is the language drift isn't as fast as ours and the dialects/languages stayed close

Wow...I watched this scene quite often and this is literally the first scene, where I hear an Inquisitor say that they're somewhat cool with being Inquisitor. I was always wondering, when I watched this: 'Where are the Inquisitors, who actually enjoy their job?'. We don't all have to be sad about being Inquisitor.

With the inquisition crest on his vest, I assume it's either the variations of superior battlemage/battlemaster/prowler armor depending on the armor type. Although, the armor doesn't appear to be equipped with its respective gears, it could be a combination. Battlemage armor with battlemage coat/mail arms and so on.

@@tavoknaza7086 I know this comment is old, but just in case you hadn't found the answer yet I wanted to give it to you. It's a mix of a higher tier armor (the schematic one who looks rougue - ish on mages, with it's little flowing cloth piece at the back side and wrap around the stomach), and some high tier armor leg and arm enhancements, the ones you can craft and put into slots on the armor. Basically, it's a piece put together by different smaller pieces, some of which are a bit tricky to get the schematics for. If you look up "dai armor schermatic list" you'll find all the pieces with a little bit of searching. C:
