The Mechwarriors of the Draconis Combine place a strong emphasis on honor, loyalty, and adherence to a code of conduct known as Bushido. It encourages self-discipline, respect for authority, and a sense of duty. Just make sure not to let slip that you're a Mercenary... This is DRAGON!
The mix is at 120 BPM (barring the first track), starting with some Cyberpunk-esque Synthwave, moving into Outrun and Retrowave, then back to some delicious Cyberpunk to finish off.

Evisioning the Draconis Combine as a cyberpunk dystopia actually tracks quite nicely. Imagine something like Cyberpunk 2077, but it's set on Luthien... "Wake up Samurai, we have a Great House to burn."

HONOR THE DRAGON
It took me days to get through this because I kept bringing up various tunes from it elsewhere to put on infinite repeat all day while I worked.
The FedCom experiment was a bust, but an alliance between Kurita and Steiner would be all sorts of awkwardly hilarious. Besides, it would be about the only way to finally end the 1,150+ year Japanese recession. Seriously, I am going to loop this tonight and go headhunting in the HBS game; city missions only, I hope.

Dreamscape. Einar had this word in mind, walking a climbing trail between giant trees, crossing a tiny bridge over a stream tumbling down from the mountain side. The planet was Quatre Belle in the Outworlds Alliance. Einar was an envoy of the Dragon, a Draconis Combine diplomat, or a spy, the distinction was blurred. The Alliance was on turmoil, factions were on the brink of civil war for some reason.. about some contested choice by house Avellar, and apparently the Jarnsfolk were in some way involved. But what was it all about Einar had no idea, all the outworlders had their mouths tightly closed, until that invitation to meet the Minister of Commerce at his private mountain chalet. If the Minister was with the right faction, answers could finally be found. If he was with the wrong faction. Well, then Einar would probably never be seen again. He would become part of that Dreamscape, forever.

Thank you very much! Bringing lore elements into the mixes is REALLY challenging, but I'm always keeying an ear out for themes or musical elements that might fit certain factions. Kurita were defiitely the easiest for this. Liao... well I'm not entirely sure what to do for them. I'm keeping an ear out for Synthwave with Chinese or Russian influences but I've not stumbled upon any just yet

What is even that )the best part is that the only two countries between them (Mongolia and Kazakhstan) have completely different styles of music lol. Maybe some Sovietwave? It was the closest they ever got to being a group

I haven't played Mechwarrior in 15 years, but listening to these mixes makes me want to jump in again. Great job! I'll have to try catching a live stream (last time I showed up just as it was ending)
An interesting, yet very accurate take on the Draconis Combine. Asian vibes, but brought to the level a interstellar state bent to military expansion, with a touch of it's extensive yet pretty conservative culture.
This is really refreshing stuff. A lot of sythwave mixes have gotten really stale and low-effort in the last couple of years, but a lot of the songs you chosen I've never even heard before and they are mixed very well. Every one of these mixes has been solid gold!
I hope you'll make mixes for the other Major (and minor) Inner Sphere House. This one is great!
