These early years of the series show how tedious that detective work really is, often with no witnesses, no leads or anything until a clue surfaces. Forensics were a long way from today's high tech gadgetry.. It took good old fashioned police work to solve cases like this.

My theory: Computers made things really easy at first, we just started using them to replace paper and card / file systems. But it was so easy people kept thinking up more and more ways to use them ... to the point where we're now spending as much time with them as we did with paper and pencil. We haven't actually gained much. People will create work when there's space for it.

Well, the policeman showed what was wrong with the crime scene to start with. Maybe the FBI should hire Hargas, the cop. He’d make a crackerjack FBI agent. 🍿🍿🍿

I love how every criminal confesses to the crime in the series. Especially when California was handing out one-way trip tickets to the gas chamber in San Quintin😂

It also says Friday was 5'10", 135 pounds -- about the same size as my dad and a lot of other WW2 vets. What adult man weighs 135 today? We traded smoking for obesity.

At this time, the L.A. Police Dept was so respected, the FBI sometimes sent their agents to L.A. for extra training! Look how low the population is! Liht traffic. And everything is so clean! There were still large lemon, lime, orange groves in the area. They were all bought out and buildings put on them.

The names have been changed to protect the Film Companies from having to pay the Innocent for Their Story's ! So not only were the Innocent Robbed Or Murdered , Or Raped The Film studios got a piece of the pie ! Everyone but the victims got paid , The Criminal got what they wanted ! The Studios got what they wanted ! The Public who watched the program got what they wanted entertainment ! And the Crime Victim just got victimized ! But the Studio made enough money for everyone but the Victim ! And the Criminal he may have got caught but he got what he wanted !

Actually the show gave a lot of positive PR for law enforcement maybe scare some who might of become criminal. And educate the public about scams and ways people break laws or commit robberies. I remember an episode teaching a store to fight shoplifting
