One of my all-time favorite shows. It just doesn't get better than Friday and Romero for me. Thank you for these :)

I know, people are so lazy.
Love old time radio, thank you for doing this
Good well written entertainment!!!!!
Good old fashioned entertainment I just love it even the commercial ads we're all that
Thank you for the high quality uploads.
As heard on Thursdays at 10:30pm(et).
@21:17 - Lord! I haven't seen a cigarette machine in over 40 years now!!! Used to be everywhere - like telephone booths.
They missed a great opportunity for product placement. Instead of buying just cigarettes, chief Thad Brown could've bought a pack of Fatima's.
I love how they work in cigarettes in every episode. Either a perp or a victim asks for a cigarette. In this episode they’re looking for change for the cigarette machine.
It's wise to smoke extra mild Fatima. 🚬☠️
Jack Webb is A Savage!!!

He didn't go around shooting people and nobody got the jump on him. Unlike some detectives who have been knocked unconscious 75 times.

People were tougher back as recently as the 1970s. A little splash of cold water would bring you around. Well crap here I am bragging about Sgt Fridays restraint and he shot the guy in the leg.
Gas chamber .. that would be a ruff way to go .Hanging sounds better to me 🤔. Or best to not get in that spot 👍🏼
This is good radio especially on cold winter nights U can have ur girlfriend or wife curled up next to u listening too

Now you got 12 year olds that are femboy foxes online who get mad at cops who give them parking tickets for parking in a disabled only parking and then say that the police wrongly put it there...

Yeah, we need to give more recognition for all the good that our law enforcement does for us in the United States.

Today's Nancy boys would not stand a chance against a hard nose detective like Sgt. Friday much less smoke 40 Fatimas per day.

I also find it interesting that he didn't go around shooting people.

@@joemannix7471 Jack Webb was striving for realism, which different from most "Cops & Robbers" programs with a shoot-em-up style of the day.
Joe’s mom shows up everywhere

Did he live with her throughout the series? It ran a long time so I’m guessing she would have died and did they write that in the script at some point?

I love Joe's Mom. I think she's very sweet and funny in a good way.

She was only in the radio shows, they dropped the mother for the television shows. The actress who played the mother on the radio shows was only 13 years old at the time, (I learned this from Greg Bell from Radio Classics) which explains why the part was dropped when they switch from radio to television.

Wow ! Joes mom was played by a 13 year old ??? boy she is a great job .i remember that on my next run .. it’s been awhile.Been listening to Johnny Dollar. He’s a good second after Dragnet
Is it just me or is it kind of scary to think about people being executed. I mean I know thar they're criminals, but it's still kind of sad to think that they ruined their lives by committing these crimes.
I it just me or does it seem like Friday is always kinda rude to Romero? Like it just seems like he never laughs at his jokes or anything.maybe he's just too serious. Idk

Yes, Joe sometimes seem annoyed with Ben. He lightened up with Frank who I actually found annoying, lol. My fav was Ben Romero.

I agree with you. I can’t listen to the Frank Smith episodes. Ben was my favorite. And before I started listening to these, I didn’t know he had a different partner. At first I thought Ben was a temporary partner. And. I wasn’t impressed. But he grew on me & is my favorite.
“Maybe she wanted to die”, that was an ignorant comment.
