Dragdagulan is traditionally SUPER CRAZY and WILD! That’s why there were so many dips and jump splits. Some queens would focus on the lip syncing and some queens would even forget about the lip syncing and just dance or just do stunts. It’s dangerous 😂😂😂 it’s definitely not like Drag Race lip sync for your life.

to the people saying manila’s cry was fake, nope, it was REAL. the director said manila started crying after the cut but the director secretly rolled the camera. they also shared that manila didn’t really like the show to have elimination but the show needs to listen to its audience. when the show was pitched to manila in season 1, she immediately said yes because of the non elimination format. i think she was really affected because its her first time doing it and she didnt want them to be elimina

I am enjoyed this episode. I like the fact someone when home although they could have simpler rules. Like The winner and the low-ranking queen battle each other. The winner has the chance to win more money and a small advantage for next week, but the low-ranking queen reward is to continue on the competition and eliminate the second lower ranking queen instead. So, they are encouraged to perform. That being said, my top 3 are Russia Doll, Ms Tam, and Deja.

As for cultural stuff, the translation team did their best to convert most of the tagalog discourse into english (for example, tocino was compared to bacon), even the lyrics of the song was also translated with such taste :) So there should be minimal issues in deciphering stuff outside of the swarkspeak / beki lingo that the LGBT+ community here frequently uses. This faster-paced episode was also a good touch, and the licensing of songs for lip-syncs is also a big step up from the previous season. I'm kinda on the fence with the now-elimination format; while it gives the proper motivation for the participants, kinda down that the looks they brought will no longer be showcased in the show once they are sent home. But still, there are more queens now, and a non-elimination format will take a big cut from the budget, so I understand.

i agree about the rules being so much to take in. I don't see the sense as well of giving up the immunity for other queens when it is asked before announcing if that person who won the lipsync is the lowest ranking queen. like in practical sense, i'm not gonna give up the immunity if i am not sure yet if I am safe or not.

Unless may sacrifices na magaganap dahil sa Friendship or tiwala siyang hindi siya ang The Lowest Score at ang Friend niya kasama sa Dragdagulan kaya pwede niya i-give up ang immunity for her/him.

I agree that improvements have been made. The performance and performance looks were better in my opinion then the first looks. Good God, that a lot rules to remember. I was not a fan of the introduction being out of drag in the DRAG DEN, it doesn't give us, the audience a chance to connect to their drag on a 1st impression basis. Other than that, it has my attention, and its hard for me to get into other franchise because I have been watching American Drag Race since it first aired, but love the different cultural interpretation of the artform.

the stage is a bit dark to me.

This season is very promising and this episode 1 is so much better than season 1's. The cast is more diverse and more fun to watch. I just think DDph is not that good at marketing/promoting the show on socmed unlike RDR PH. My fave part was the main challenge. The girls' choreo was so cool af and their lyrics were hilarious! They would def eat up and slay the RDR ph queens! I'd love to see a RDR PH queens vs DRAG DEN queens live! ... And Manila speaking Tagalog and her fake ass 'crying' at the end cracked me up haha.

Still too sloppy. Only watched episode 1 last season, again this time. There's nothing about drag den that i like except manila. Now gotta wait for drag race ph season 3
