DragBoss Garage: Installing Smoked Sequential LED Front/ Rear Mirror Turn Signals 2013 Ford F150 FX4

This video is one that I had made back in June of 2022, when I installed smoked colored sequential LED front and rear turn signals to my 2013 F150 FX4. The rear facing led turn signal had somewhat failed within a couple of years, after I getting the truck. I initially priced out having dealer change it but warned that the mirrors break, while trying to remove them. With that, I never messed with it, until June of 2022. I had seen the sequential LED lights, and wanted that appearance/ effect, not only for coolness, but for safety factor, so I watched a couple of you tube videos, and did it myself. Not a difficult task, even the mirror came off easy. 2013, F150s, came with only reflectors in that position, front facing. The issue, was the original front facing ones I bought, listed that they would fit the mirror covering/housing, 2013F150, but the pig tail was too short. I tried to lengthen pig tail, but wires are so dang small, it did not work after I lengthened them. I was this is BS, and sent them back. I did more searching, and found the correct ones., by RUXIFEY, these were a switchback style. With parking lights should have a white LED driving light. (Tough thing here, is getting 12v power source, cannot jump the fuses in panel, and adapters will not fit in panel, so I never hooked up the front white white LED switchback option) These were plug, and play, and harness plugged right into my rear facing sequential LED signal lights. The rear facing signal lights had no issues with fitment. I had made a complete video of the left front, but must deleted the installation of the front facing signal light. video, so just added the procedure to install from the right sided. Just thought you guys may like these for your truck. I will say, I also added front parking lights, that were LED, I had bought tail lights, that were LED also, but installing anything more LED, caused HYPERflash. This is from less resistance with LED bulbs. You can add resistors, and try and reduce this but I not bothering. Here are the parts numbers.
The rear facing, are are Gem Pro7919D-1
The front facing are RUXIFEY FBARFMP24796

Your welcome, I have to admit, I just had struts and shocks put on the truck, I could have done that myself, but the work involved both physically, and time, not worth it. You bet I do...Merch...

Forgot about saying Great afternoon to you all and I hope that you have a great day, pet the pup for me , he has to becoming a big boy slowly and surely by now. My neighbors Lucy was huge for a female at 6 years old last year before she was diagnosed with cancer and she had to be put down.

Thanks Mike. I like them for sure, should take time to hookup 12v to extra wire, but source out 12v is hard to get on that truck
There's always fabrication involved, in 70% of the stuff I touch I have found out that everyone of the ez-fit stuff needs something like what you just had to do.

Where did you find the pigtail for the wire?

The light has its own pigtail and had to make opening in frame bigger to fit pigtail end through and plug in.
Actually, you can go to the Ford dealership and reprogram your truck to think that it came with LEDs from the factory

Ed Case Performance, right on with that. I never thought I would like a 6 cylinder, but it has been a great truck. Be cool to put a Cleveland in it with EFI.
It's always something to not doing it untill you just say heck with it and what is the worst that can happen? Then you just tear into it and do it and then say what you just said I should have been done already.

The only thing that is plug and play is the top dollar stuff or the original ma & pop companies that is going to get on top of the quality and quantity of the products that they make and sell. The majority that is made in the USA is a big lie because they have a bunch of loop holes in laws that they are able to hack on about the made here and it is Chinese sent here and packaged here in America and put in American packaging and then they are legally allowed to say made here as long as they prep and package it here at home. My favorite one is Google it I told a kid at work about his pure food and non this and that. They are able to get away with making the dressing and sending it to a place or selling to a company that gives them the ability to get away with saying that they don't have any preservatives or antibiotics in it as long as they get the dressing from someone who makes it then they bottle it and it is the loophole that they can say that they don't add anything to it because they bought it made and bottled it. It's sneaky and underhanded and should be illegal, but the law allows it to happen that way. It doesn't only go for food it goes for a lot of the things you buy today. Really got to read everything really really good today. Places will buy stuff and claim this and that, but the sling it as USA made with the really small print say made in Taiwan and packaged by So and So by this company in the USA claiming it was all here. Should be illegal, rant over and I am sorry to bother you but I thought you should know that. I am going to guess that a man of your IQ and personal do it right the first time and intelligently researches his purchases and parts for your equipment and Shop. I try and buy American, rather pay a bit more, and keep us working. I do not like the underhandedness. We need to keep our country going, keep our economy growing. Nope patch up day, plenty of that to go around...
