Not degrading IVTEC but the "Turbo" is a Turbo once it kicks in then the car pulls so strongly that u don't miss the NA except for the city commutes (that too sometimes) but that isn't a deal breaker....

Someone tried to be cool by calling turbo as asthma inhaler pump and got jumbled in their words.. so kids dont try to be cool unnecessarily especially when you are not sure how to use words

Hybrid with CVT, and regular petrol with manual, that would be unfair… They already did a drag race between the Gen 5 City and Gen 1 City, both with manual gearboxes… The Gen 5 won by a difference of just 1 sec, due to little extra power and larger wheels compared to Gen 1…

I don't see the logic of them wearing helmet in a family sedan especially in a drag race and specially a bike helmet.

after all it’s an overhyped super slow na engine which is good for nothing 😂 may be it redlines at 7k rpm so what every other petrol engine redlines at 6.5-7k rpm but atleast they are fast not like this sluggish ivtec only noise no performance 😂 even new Verna 1.5na feels faster than this shit

I had a doubt since a long time.. The premium Honda charging for City Hybrid over the normal City is justified or not? I think yes, it has good efficiency which can cover up the running costs, and it has much better torque and performance over the regular City.. Or is it best to settle with Verna or Virtus GT?? Open to share your views 👍👇

It's worth it if at least Honda getting that additional cost. Currently Govt taxes Hybrids like same that of ICE Cars, which means Virtus, Verna are more value for money. BUT, if you daily run say 100+ km in tight city traffic, City Hybrid is the only car that will offer phenomenal efficiency in that use case, combined with the smoothness of Honda

See Prathams video. Hybrid has a huge lead on Virtus GT till 120 which may very well make it win the drag.

It was evident from the video that HONDA City will be the winner ! 😂

That would be unfair… It would make sense if they had raced the petrol CVT with the petrol manual… But we all know for a fact that whether it be the City petrol CVT or the Hybrid vs the petrol manual, the manual would definitely win… What would make even better sense would be to race the City petrol manual with the City diesel…

I can say for sure that the hybrid would win since it has the extra electric torque but I couldn't say the same if we are talking about hybrid vs petrol MT

Being a CVT they don’t launch properly unlike a manual… Check the Civic vs Innova drag race video… Had the Civic been a manual, it would’ve beaten the Innova by a long shot… Unfortunately they did a drag race between a petrol CVT and a diesel torque convertor, they should’ve used the diesel manual instead… But the only available options for the Civic were petrol CVT and diesel manual… Of course it flopped big time in the Indian market…

calling i-vtec extremely slow is also not feasible... 1.5 ivtec has appropriate power to hv fun with.. it was also just 1 sec behind bmw on a track cus of its driving dynamics... no other car under 40 lac cud beat City.. drag race is a different game though
