Bit funny when Tiff called the Fiesta British, when it’s an American brand, but actually been developed in Cologne/Germany, just like every recent compact Ford in the last few decades.

@@largeChongus97 ehm, no. Ford has a big engineering plant in Aachen and Cologne. Cosworth engines are constructed at FEV in Aachen and in GB. The Fiesta is engineered all over the world, but mainly in Germany in Cologne and Aachen, also it is tested and built there. Ford has it's biggest plant and the biggest weather-test center all over the globe in one of their multiple plants in Cologne.

@@largeChongus97 ehm no, i was one of those guys, who was involved i developing a Fiesta ST. So i know, what to say. Some guys are non german or british. But most of them. Also the university of Aachen, RWTH, did some work with it's WZL. I know many of the suspension and drivetrain guys, because i testdrove it before it was on sale

Well for me, I will take one which is the most comfortable, the most practical and the most fun. Comparing the three that goes for the Ford Fiesta. There is one thing I would do different and that is get the four door version The polo is nice luxurious, it looks nice but it misses a manual gearbox. Maybe I would think different if I lived in a busy country like UK, however I live on a small Island four degrees south from the Equator, The lovely Seychelles Islands. The main island to be precise. The Yaris is cool and funky little thing, but it's let down for me is the cramped back seats and small boot. My Suzuki swift has better leg room and perhaps better boot space. I'm about 6 foot something height wise and I will not be happy in the back seat.

Another great video guys. I would take the Yaris GRMN any day out of all of them. Sadly it’s limited. 2nd I would take the ST but in ST-1 with just the £925 Ford Performance option totalling to just over £20k. Love the Fiesta ST.

Wow, what different personalities. And, THAT'S what we want to learn about- not the hard numbers, anyone can get those. Honestly, the Polo IS the best daily driver of the bunch, the Fiesta ST gymnast, and the Yaris the weekend play toy. I'm getting older, so, I thought I'd be Polo all day long, but, if it's real money coiming out of my wallet- the Fiesta ST would be my personal winner. Functional, can actually fit 4 humans, trunk for groceries, good MPG's for commuting- yet capable enough to entertain me when the roads are empty... It actually works for all of it. Compromise is the name of the game for hot hatches- I like the choices and variety available... Oh, and a nod to Tiff- 'cuz he's the best.

Automatic transmission in the hot hatch takes a little bit of "hot" out of it.

Man i‘m a german Porsche/VAG/Audi type of guy, always was. Yet i have to say these 2 Polo competitors surely proove to be Polo BEATERS. Very awesome cars, would love to get a go in them, yet i still cant help myself and just think of all the potential in that polo, i‘d still go for that i think 😜 tho i wouldnt mind owning that Fiesta either.

It’s due to refresh rate on the camera and polarisation of the lens

I have a fiesta ST-3 and launch control does work you need to initiate it in the menus! Its great for an everyday car with a little bit of bite when needed.

Just a comment on leaving traction control on - the previous gen Polo GTI 6C limited boost in 1st and 2nd with TC on, even more with windscreen wipers on. TC off and it's all there.

Can you do a comparison of the Fiesta ST against the BRZ/ GR86? Both affordable by proper fun cars, with very different approaches! I’m interested to see your thought because I’d love to buy the new Fiesta ST, but am currently weighting up against the GR86!

Fiesta is understated and doesn’t look too flashy but it’s fun to drive. Now on my 2nd.

First of all congrats you are doing awesome reviews Now lets talk about the cars the polo Gti is a classic VW its practical-ergonomical-good mpg has a lot of torque but its heavy and the running costs of VW cars in general are plenty. the fiesta Is the clear choice if you want a car with good ride quality nimble handling good response and plenty of power and reliability . the yaris is a track car for the road the chassis is reinforced the engine is a toyota 2zz-ge engine with a supercharged Than means its reliable it has good response and a lot of hp but the low end torque is an issue but who cares if you are in the track you will never drop bellow 4.000 RPM.

I thought they would be immediately flipped/held in warm garages and sold for £30k+..Good news! Examples with a few thousand miles for £21-23k currently. I have hopes for getting in one in a few years. Interestingly enough, for that price the two cars that appeal most are from Toyota- GT86 and the GRMN. Never thought I'd say that! Good vid chaps

Great video, you all seem like a nice bunch however: You cannot buy that polo for 20k in the UK It’s a Gti plus with: Optional paint Optional wheels Optional climate control. Probably more like 23k.

I have the previous Mk7 Fiesta ST. I've been thinking about getting the Yaris because its supercharged and sounds awesome. How many cars can we say that about now? What do you guys think?

@@drd6416 are the 1.6 ecoboost engines actually that bad? They seem to be capable of big power with only bolt on upgrades. I've had no issues.

@@MD-uu5nt Well the Ford fucup... Errr focus... Does. Major failure due to the engines being a strange build with no gaskets between block and head. I dunno about the Fezza but personally I wouldn't want to chance a small high power (boosted) mill. Obviously it's personal choice (I liked the previous one) but I'd need to know it wasn't likely to die...

@@drd6416 yeah, the focus definitely seems to have engine issues. I haven't heard any of the same complaints about the Fiesta though. There was an issue with a few going on fire but that has been dealt with in a recall. Aside from that they seem reliable.

Well bad drivers on fiesta and yaris bcos ive always seen yaris wining, followed by fiesta and well last polo. Fiesta my favorite

Right, the Ford would win the drag easily.

Nothing wrong with the DSG box during the J turn, it was more the technique, I have a DSG in my current 1.0 Polo, the trick really is to put it in neutral just before the flick, then drive mid turn, use the brake to find the clutch bite point, and then accelerate and you'll easily spin the tyres. It's more the time the clutch engages 1st rather than the change of gear, I learned that off lights, get the clutch to bite, before accelerating, otherwise if you just slam the accelerator it hesitates as the clutch engages.

Tiff won the final challenge!
