It feels like FREEDOM.

My favorite race became even my all time favorite race. I mean now my wings actually have real purpose. I mean the Druid can pretty much travel without mounts as they switch forms, so it kinda make sense that the Dractyr can fly with it's wings.

I did not play any of my main this whole xpac for real. I am completely in love with Dracthyrs, and my biggest problem with them just have been resolved. Finally man, that was not so hard was it ? If they can now give dracthyr static fly to go along with it I think I would never touch another race again

same here, one of the 2 things i wanted most for the race since day 1 was being able to fly like this without limitations. Now the other thing i waiting is for them to be able to tank, once they do, same i'll probably never play another race again.

@@StealthTheFoxz after the hero talents reveal i don't expect them to make a tank spec for Evoker, unless they rework augment i dunno. However opening new classes for them shouldn't be an issue since most animations for other classes on Dracthyr are allready ingame. and Blizz excuse of the "class lore must fit race lore" lost all weight the moment they decided that Lightforged Draenei could be warlocks.

Ha, as if Preservation Evoker wasn’t already tons of fun to play. I may never play another race once Evokers can Dragonflight.

I don't know why it wasn't like this at the beginning. It's basically the same thing as the worgen running wild.

Exactly. I guess they were not sure what they wanted to do with dragonriding and how much glyph would there be, how much crazy stuff and abilities, what would carry on to next xpac or be dragonflight locked, how dragonriding would impact profession and so on, so they waited to have a clear plan before making any decision that would make ppl mad

@@menalgharbwalsharq648 In retrospect...yeah that does make sense. They didn't know how successful dragon riding would be, or if it would ever be used again. But now that it's being carried forward as the new method of flying, it's fine to just give it to Dracthyr.

I'm glad they're finally allowing this but it should of been this way day 1. I'm guessing this also applies to outside of the dragon isles? Wounder if they're going to give demon hunters the same ability they also have wings & a similar skeleton structure.

Haven't heard anything about DH. Druids are allegedly getting dynamic flying, but it wasn't available for testing last time I checked, so probably not in this patch.

@@Tin_Foil_Fan use your eyes next tme DH wings are in size equal to Dractyr, they fold and unfold them and its a fel mutation so easy just get them out when you need em, dractyr in visage mode have no wings and can change to fly mode via magic -.- so there you go magic it is.... (and for fly mode let them just mutate out, and the fact that illidan can use them to fly should be enought)

Yay, i remember how to fly.

This almost makes me want to swap to an Evoker just for the freedom of dragonriding without having to rely on a mount. 😁

This was on the PTR last night. I got on to test flying outside the Dragon Isles, but the dracthyr were all going crazy over how they could fly now, so I logged mine on. :D

Has the cooldown been changed at all? I know it lessens with exploration of continents, but I was wondering if the baseline was still 3-4 minutes (I can’t recall exactly).

Cooldown is ten seconds, and you can bet the Evoker community is up in arms over there being one at all. XD

@@Dwayneff Meanwhile Druids don't have a cast time, can hover over the ground without canceling Dynamic Flying and have no cooldown... I don't get why Dracthyr need both a cooldown and ground cancelling flight when Druids get neither of those with no other cons whatsoever... :/

Week of January 16th, they're saying now. I hope they fixed the bugged achievements.

two things 1st why hide ui and 2nd dracthyrs have the flying skills you just got to know how to use it like diving increasing speed to then point up to get hieght to dive again. its possible to go a long distance with the standard fly ing abilities of this race

Not even druids have dynamic flight last time I checked on the PTR, and we know that's coming. We'll have to wait and see.

but will they be able to use real (TBC) flying? I couldn't care less about the flappy bird gliding.

Static flying will eventually be a thing you can toggle on and off. I haven't heard the specifics, but I assume that will affect all flight methods.

It uses your regular vigor bar, but I turned off my UI to record this clip because it was really cluttered. (If you want to know how I keep flying for so long, check out my Dragonriding Tips playlist.)

I understand the complaints because druids are essentially getting the same thing with no cooldown. 10 seconds is effectively no cooldown anyway, but then at that point why is there even a cooldown at all? Why not just remove it like druids?@@Lironah
