You know what's crazy? 😅 I know almost 84 of this legend's songs and how te touches his guitar notes but I don't understand even a single word 😂 he's the best, the most amazing - my favourite song "Ntshumi" from Shimatsatsa "Basopa" 🔥

The Legend!!!¡! Trust me when I say his music raised me to the man I am today. Especially volume 11 to volume 19. The only XiTsonga music I listen to this day is Thomas Chauke music. The message and wisdom in those albums I mentioned is unmatched.

I completely agree with your statement. It's hard to imagine now, but during those times, we did not have the luxury of transportation like we do today. We had to walk long distances to get to school, often without shoes on our feet. It was a difficult journey, but we persevered because we knew how important education was. Despite the challenges, I look back on those times with pride and gratitude for the lessons they taught me. It was around 1986 when I started listening to his music, and it really helped me become the man I am today.

@@CMfilmsAfrica We are a lucky generation indeed to have experienced his music in real time. I laugh when people talk about Brenda, Zahara breaking album sales records because I saw it with my own eyes for many years Dr Thomas Chauke albums selling out same day the albums were released. It would be like that for the entire November and December months. You will run around Thohoyandou and Louis Trichardt music stores looking for his new album.

It looks like it’s a two part documentary; you can see from family video Conny and Themba Chauke were still very young. And on the other interview Conny looks much older. I’d say 1991…
