Thank you for being willing to listen and to learn. I am not against reparations but feel that education is also needed because we are dealing with ignorance . I recently saw the movie Selma by Ava Devereaux and it is amazing how our country is dealing with the same Ignorance and man's inhumanity against man. It appears that many black women are on the Forefront but it would be nice to see men Take a Stand like those in that movie. Sad to say but many people won't speak up today that have a platform like kapernick because they know things will be taken from them. Civil rights leaders often puts their lives and the lives of their families In Harm's Way . Where are the men that are willing to take a stand like this? What is needed is justice and people willing to do their part to speak truth to people in their circle. But please do waste time speaking to People who don't care or want to listen.

I was born and raised in Chicago. Chicago is still very segregated. The crazy thing is, the community in which I grew up in had a few white people who chose to stay instead of selling their homes. Most of these people who stayed were elderly. Nobody bothered them. They walked to and fro from the stores. But as a black person, we knew not to go near an area known as Marquette Park. Those white people were filled with hate. My point is, we could co-exist with anybody but the feeling was never mutual.

Thanks for sharing these videos, Karen!! These videos provide invaluable history lessons on our people's journey!! It's good to know since they show how inept some social scientists are when they go around saying our people are poor and not achieving because we do not own businesses, banks, schools, etc. Yet, they're not considering the GREAT losses our people have/are suffering and the impact such losses have contributed in preventing our people from moving forward! It's true that the banking industry and the government on a whole, need to institute laws as a way of allowing us to acquire some of the grounds which were swept right from under our feet! For too long this has been our experience and it's about time for a CHANGE!!!💕💯

Sundown Towns: book talks in great detail about northern segregation after "the Great Migration"... a lot of the most segregated cities are in the North... we fled north (95% of us were in the south in mid 1800s) from overt oppression looking for salvation. These areas had prev claimed to be for black equality... but we got "cordoned off" when we tried to realize that opportunity. My maternal fam is frm Milwaukee, statistically #1 most segregated city in America today.

I feel like white American grand parents and great grand parents have done an effective (dont want to use the word "good") job... hiding a lot of the social molestation of the past. White apathy helps. I dont think most Americans of any race knew about Tulsa 1921 and I feel people think that was a one off. The fact that black unemployment (as a statistic) only goes back to the 1970s show how much people cared about our data and history.....

Okay so I have been hearing talk about Reparations. All of this is going to be fixed by having a nationality and a currency (a cryptocurrency). We can create a token for all qualified black people, we need to use the times and the $14 trillion value that I hear being thrown around. So like bitcoin, we create black coin and value the aggregate at $14 trillion and that way we can use the tokens in our own community and economy, we can track it and justify our actual value. Because that’s really what the talk is about, realizing and recognizing the value of black and brown people. If black people had an actually nationality then we don’t need to beg for reparations to enter BACK into the same system that was never built for the old version of the black and brown woman and man. Karen I would like you to get someone on to talk about that, we aren’t using the weapons we all have access to, it’s really about a change of thought 💭
